The Recondo arrived with a large UMS clip already attached to the sheath and a drop leg adapter in the box...along with a card showing various universal mounting system (UMS) components and potential configurations. But nothing shows how to put these things together. For instance, it appears the drop leg adapter cannot be used without removing the large UMS clip...and the large UMS clip has what appears to look like securing screws with a "star" head...but if that's what it is, where is the star head tool to use to remove it (or a reference that one will be required)? This isn't the first time SOG has sent a sheath that's difficult to figure out. Perhaps a small investment in some adequate instructions would be in order. Aside from that, the knife is great!

I bought this knife for my fiancé as a Christmas gift and he absolutely loved it!!! I really like how you can have the product engraved making it a personalized sentimental gift. He says the quality of the knife is excellent and the case that comes with it very convenient how you can customize it to different settings. He was very impressed which is hard to do! It’s was by far the best gift I gave this year!!!
