I have the original Kiku folder and this LTE is considerably lighter. Not so heavy on your pocket. The blade is beefy and very sharp. The handle is very secure in your hand. The only thing I can say is that I was disappointed in the handle color. I was really expecting blaze orange like the picture indicates. It is kind of dingy. Not so bright. See the picture.

Sir or Ma’am: I have bought SOG products for over a decade and have usually found them outstanding. I still have that opinion because I am loyal to your concept. The knife in question is great, fantastic blade for self-defense or utility functions. One problem: the slide to release the blade lock is difficult to enable even after vigorous silicone application. It remains a rough push to enable blade unlock. I thought it was just the new condition at first, but it remains a problem, but not insurmountable; just a little longer to activate, which in serious self-defense situations can require 2-5 seconds of delay, not a good thing if you’ve ever had to deploy a blade instead of a sidearm. I will remain a SOG customer, irrespective of this glitch. Cordial Regards, Johnny.

Hello Johnny, thanks for being a SOG customer. Its hard to understand exactly what you are experiencing because this shouldn't be a problem with this kind of knife. The only issue that would make deployment difficult by using the flipper would be if you are touching the lock mechanism as you engage it. Don't touch the lock mechanism while using the flipper and the blade should snap open very easily.

Comfortable in the hand, the locking mechanism is precise and sturdy. The blade can be opened with one hand using the assist on the rear. Great knife, been carrying it daily since it arrived.

Bought this knife for hunting. Beautiful design and great feel....but I was expecting "blaze" orange scales, per the description and photos on the web site, but the scales are actually a much duller orange in real life, so removed a start for that.
Maybe the marketing department got carried away with photoshop boosting the contrast of the orange?

The feel is that of a solid knife. The texture is comfortable and secure. It opens and closes easily and the finger grooves are placed perfectly. very happy, may buy another one. Its also extremely light for its size.
