I've owned the Peak Design Everyday Backpack for a couple of years now and loooove it but as my business has grown, my larger body of gear became increasingly difficult to pack and unpack. Enter the Travel Duffle! Now my gear is easier to access quickly on jobs while still remaining perfectly secure (thanks in large part to the Camera Cube system).
As always every time I am about to buy a Peak Design bag or thingy I always take a look at the videos, the Feature Overview and the Setup And Tips (love the Pro Tip Smell), In this case I was a little skeptical because my intent was to use the Travel Duffel for my workout clothes/shoes/towels and since I ride bike I thought that the strapp adjustment would hurt my shoulders but I'm glad I was wrong. I couldn't reccomend this bag enough.
One of the best travel duffels I have ever used. High quality and of course works great with my favorite packing cubes...the Peak Design ones. My only complaint are the handles. Having the ability to carry this bag as a backpack was a huge plus for me. Unfortunately the straps are way too uncomfortable. Even for hand carrying the straps are not good. Magnet is too weak, really hard to tell there is even a magnet in there. If you don't have the handles facing the right way the stitching will dig into your hand. Very frustrating to have to turn your handles around when you pick it up. For the price, I would still recommend this bag. Great organization and fairly roomy for a 35L.
I was really surprised at the versatility of this duffel, multiple carry options combined with tons of room. Works really well with camera and packing cubes, can't wait to try it out as a carry on for one week trip.
I have a need for duffel bags as I have a lot of short 2-day work trips where I don't see the need to use a suitcase. The functionality is second to none, external pockets are a game-changer, and the packing cubes fit everything I need and more. Even after using both packing cubes there is a little space left over on top for my dress shirts, packable towel and travel steamer. BUT what I truly appreciate the most is the structure of the bag. It's able to stand on its own without caving in making the sheer usability fantastic. It is not like most that are just one floppy piece of fabric and this, to me, makes it the perfect duffel.
Excellent bag, but needs detachable backpack straps

This is an excellent quality bag in both modes and the quality on the material is second to none. However, as a backpack it needs slightly longer and more comfortable pads on it. I would be very happy to buy additional detachable straps if PD design and sell them. Love the bag.
I haven't owned a duffle bag for many years as they always seemed ti flimsy and lacked any features. Peak Design however has changed the game. This is the perfect duffel for all occasions and is a great addition to my carry on luggage collection thats stylish enough to be usable on business trips.
