Perfect Getaway Bag
on November 22, 2019
Posted by: Anonymous
Been using this for a month now and it never let me down. I used this to pack for a weekend trip and there are still plenty of room to put any extra things you might use for emergencies. It has large capacity but it doesn't feel big on my back especially when I use it as a backpack.
The versatility on this bag is remarkable and can be use anywhere and anyway you wanted it to be.
I absolutely love this bag.

New daily runner

I used to rock either my everyday backpack or a small simple duffel depending on my activities, but neither were quite big enough to comfortably fit my stuff for the day. As a climber, I have a certain amount of gear I take with me to work in order to get the most out of my commute.
This bag fits it all, with room to spare, while not being overbearingly large and built like a tank. I don't even use half the pockets, to be frank. I look forward to my first OS trip with this thing :)

Bought this as just something to have for a trip to make life a little easier. Ended up falling in love with it and use it for everything. Gym bag, music gear bag, weekender and anything else I can lug it around doing. So amazing!

The Perfect Weekend Bag!
on November 7, 2019

This duffel is the perfect size for any weekend trip. It has so many hidden details that truly make the craftsmanship shine. I love the lining and its ability to stay propped up when packing. It is a gorgeous design that is sleek and modern while simultaneously feeling earthy and rugged. I can't praise it enough!

Great Bag, Handle is meh.
on November 7, 2019

This is my third PD bag (20L daily carry and Travel Backpack are my other two). I like the function of this bag and durability a lot. It's a great second bag for travel.
There is only one thing that bugs me about this bag, and unfortunately it's an important thing: the handle. The handle has a pretty hard seem/edge on it, and it digs into your hand when you have the bag packed out heavy. If you are going to put a ton of gear into this and hand carry it long distances, it will be an issue.
As long as you are using the shoulder sling or keeping the packing in it minimal, it won't be an issue.

Superbly functional

I was looking for something I could use to replace my old suitcase and, knowing the quality and thoughtfulness that goes into PD's other products I've bought, didn't hesitate to buy this. The only decision was whether to get the 35L, or the 65L.
Because I bought the 35L, I now use my bag at least a few times a week, not just when I travel, as my backpack to carry my things when I go off around town and for work. Just load it up, and go. It's also great to go grab some shopping with.
What's great about the bag is when I'm not using it, it folds down very flat and is easy to store away, but when I am, it opens right up. It does, though, fill up a bit quicker than expected sometimes. Just inside are two rigid bars that run the length of the bag that serve to hold the bag open and they're also essentially fill limits. If you go past those, you may struggle to get the bag closed.
Once closed though, I fold the two pointy 'ends' down over the zip and close with a carabiner which makes the bag look and feel more backpack-like, then use the two carry straps to wear. It's not quite the same as an actual backpack, but it's still been great so far.
As for the straps, both the two carry straps and the single shoulder strap can all be put on, or off in any way you like. I keep the shoulder strap in a pocket and just use the two carry straps most of the time. Sometimes, however, one of the straps will detach as I'm putting the bag on, which is something to look out for.
