1 Week later and the finish is coming off

I bought this knife from a local outdoor sport store and was pretty hyped when I got. I mainly use it to open amazon packages the wife gets as well as mail so this knife hasn't seen any hard use. Just 1 week later I noticed something was happening to the finish. You dont expect something like this happening to a $125 knife, maybe a cheap $7 gas station knife but def not this one. I dont know how this is happening or how to prevent it from continuing. I dont live near the coast and I treat the knife well. I am very disappointed in the quality of this knife.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I cannot say enough about the Ultra Xr and how light it is, yet so strong ! You will have to hold it to believe it. Sharp ? None sharper.

Design flaw causes a Nick in the blade

I’m very disappointed in SOG, the screw in the back of the knife makes contact with the blade and causes a Nick that has to be resharpened and stropped out.
