Potential Fix for Screen protector problems
on January 18, 2022

Like many other reviews and comments, my Peak Design case for my S21 Ultra started to pull up my screen protector not long after I got it. While I see many people saying that this may be a potential deal breaker or prevent them from buying the case, I found a simple modification to the case can solve the problem entirely. While the PD team may not entirely approve or recommend this, if you want to have a screen protector While using the case, I highly suggest trying this!
All you have to do is take an exacto knife and sliver away part of the rubber lip the comes up onto the screen. I tried this and NO MORE SCREEN PROTECTOR PEELAGE. You can go along the edges of the case and cut away the corners depending on what areas are pulling up your protector. Now I did this all in about 5 minutes and did a pretty sloppy job. If you take your time, you could easily do this and no one would ever know. I don't notice at all because I'm not really looking at the edges of my case in the first place, it all just blends in eventually. As you can see from the photos, it's pretty hard to tell despite me not caring too much. (Also, yes my screen protector is cracked and that is from my previous case combo and why I love protectors)!
Hope this helps some people who want all the benefits the case offers, but don't care too much about it looking perfect and don't mind taking a knife to their brand new case ;)
DISCLAIMER: Might void warranty and was only tested on S21 Ultra case

Powerful protection - Extremely Impressive

I bought into the system idea, but have not yet fitted any of the mounts to either car or motorcycle. Yesterday, I did a short run on my motorcycle with the iPhone 13 Pro in my pocket. On return - disaster. The phone was missing. A quick "Find My" and the phone was located active but at the side of the motorway. Fortunately I was able to retrieve it and could not be more impressed. The phone must have dropped out of my pocket when I was doing more than 60 mph (100 km/h) and bounced to the side of the road. It's working perfectly and there isn't a mark on it. The case isn't even that badly marked. I'm seriously impressed.

This is a simple case of form over function.

This is a simple case of form over function, while many accessories help this be a seriously multifunctional case. If you’ve not already bought this case even though I have not used the Case with Loop I highly encourage it. The case without loop is harder to hold than the iPhone without a case. The canvas back is almost entirely devoid of any texture which could’ve helped in grip. The TPU is unlike any I’ve ever touched, it’s almost as smooth and grippy as the flat side of a Lego. It does excel though in size, it is quite thin and that is my favorite feature. Hopefully future updates will have some of these critical flaws for me addressed and perhaps the accessories will one day be back in stock when we get the pandemic in order.

Slim is not soft, elegant is not delicate

I've been using (well, abusing, actually) my Moment case for several months now and I'm flabbergasted - this slim case, with it's elegant and timeless veneer, is tough as nails. I've dropped it, scraped it, banged it, gotten it wet and dirty - and (after a quick sponge bath) it looks ready for an evening out. And so is my phone, which seems to have noticed nothing of the abuse! All jokes aside, this is one of the best cases I've ever had for my phone. It feels solid without feeling bulky. I don't know how it stacks up against a Defender case, but ut puts all cases in its class to shame where protection, resilience and form-factor are concerned. AND - now to the really cool part - the mounting system that is build in is simply amazing. It finds its own place on the magnetic snap-mount and stays there, no matter what, until I take it off - easily, and with the push of a button. The mounting bracket nearly disappears in the case, but adds no significant thickness. It's a little square recess in the back, into which the mounting flange fits and locks in place. I've been travelling with PeakDesign bags for years, and have found them to be thoroughly thought-through and designed (pockets just where you need them, nothing sticking out to get caught, tons of really useful features with no excesses) , and exceptionally well made: (clean lines, super materials, outstanding workmanship), and incredibly robust and forgiving (two weeks back-country camping in Africa, and ... nothing beyond a bit of dust - but only on the outside!). And this case and the mounts that go with it, demonstrate exactly the same attention to detail, quality and usability.

Thank you for making a Samsung version! But...

First, thank you for making a Samsung version. Second, Samsung aren't the only Android phones. As a matter of fact, photographers usually prefer Pixels, and Pixels have a lack of amazing cases. Maybe they would like a case you can magnet a tripod on the back of? Speaking of the magnet, its great, and magsafe compatible cases are great, yes even with Android. All magsafe accessories should have magnets this strong. Third, the corner protection on this case is great, maybe a little too good? It peeled up part of my screen protector, and this is one of those screen protectors that uses the light to cure the adhesive, so its stuck on there good. And this case peeled it up. You can't really put a screen protector on after the case is on, so this definitely needs fixing in the next version. Pull those corners back just a bit.

Great case for the most part

The case feels very well build and feels amazing in the hand. It’s a sleek case that really doesn’t add any bulk to your phone. The case does have a downside. That is that you can’t use a screen protector with the phone case without any of the corners of the screen protector being slightly lifted up. I wish Park Design wouldn’t have made the phone case wrap so tightly around the edges of the screen to allow for some space for screen protectors

Love the case but the durability needs work

So far I’m loving the case. I do not have the same issue as other folks with the tempered glass protector. I use the JETech protector and the case went on without any issues. The only issue I have with the case is the durability. I dropped my phone and the case did it’s job protecting the phone but now I have a rough spot on the corner of the phone that I don’t love, not a huge deal but it would be better if it was more durable. I’m excited to use the bike and motorcycle mounts with the phone case.

Limited protection

Has the loop case on my iPhone 13 for a few months and the first time I drop it the back of the phone shattered. The drop was inside onto laminate flooring and I would have expected it to be fine. The case seems well constructed but I am concerned it doesn’t offer enough protection.
