Excellent Filter

WE HAVE BEEN BUYING THE 1500 FOR AT LEAST 4 YEARS. WE LIVE IN A RETIREMENT COMMUNITY AND THEY ONLY CHANGE THE FILTERS EVERY 6 MONTHS AND USE THE CHEAPEST FIBERGLASS YOU CAN BUY. I CHANGE MY 1500 EVERY 2 MONTHS AND CANNOT BELIEVE HOW WELL IT WORKS IN COLLECTING FOREIGN MATERIAL

Clean Air!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using Filtrete Filters for several years now. I use the purple 1500 16x20x1 size. The air quality inside my home is very clean and healthy. These products are much better than washing the old metal filter that I used previously. I never felt the metal filter captured allergens, etc. the way this filter does. The proof is very visible when I change the filter. I appreciate getting text reminders from 3M/Filtrete to change filter, too. The reminders are super helpful! I am a loyal customer for life and I highly recommend your products.

My apartment complex replaces our furnace filters for free but they’re cheap and only protect the furnace. I purchase my own filters and I choose Healthy Living.

I have a whole room filtration unit that I use the F2 bacteria, virus etc. filter.
The unit can handle the restriction if the flow so it performs flawlessly.
As for my AC unit? I had to step down a my HVAC couldn’t handle the restriction. Had to do work less restrictive, which still outperforms any of the other filters I’ve tried.
I’m thinking the negative reviews are from individuals trying to push their systems to perform work they weren’t designed for.
Get yourself a filtreet air purifier and let your AC cool the house. You should still use a Filtrete filter, just use the right one , correct flow, for your HVAC.

Terrible odor when installed in heating system

I just installed 3 Filtrete 1500 filters and there is a terrible odor coming out of my heating system. I never had this problem with any other filters in the past. I hope the odor goes away after a day or so otherwise I am returning this product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Does its job for a month then need replacing

This filter is supposed to last 3 months with regular use. However I have never found it to be true. We have a 1800sqft home non smokers and we don't burn candles or anything else that might shorten the life. We do have two small dogs and a cat. Which we all have allergies which is why this filter is a must. It works wonderful for 1 month then it no longer works for us. We vacuum everyday dust everyday. What can I do to prolong the use of this filter because it is expensive to replace which we will have to change to a competitors filter that cost less!
