Great product!

We have a handle just like this one on our door to our basement so traditional knob safety wouldn't work. We searched and searched for something that would work with a level lock, and we were really happy when we found this. Our 3 year old can't figure out how to open it, and the decoy button throws him off, which is great! It's keeping them much safer!

Parents Beware!!! You can get locked in with this!

Our 1 year old closed the door and locked us all in his room. You Do Not have to push the sides in to move the clamps. The clamps move freely to the locked position without pushing the buttons in on the side BUT do not reopen easily. My husband has to break the door down to get us out. Thank God the House wasn't on fire or some other emergency. Do not buy!

Do not buy this product!

This product ideally is a great concept BUT is an absolute parents worst nightmare if your 2 year old figures out than the lever can move without pressing the side buttons. My son locked me into the restroom and I was trapped for an hour and a half. I luckly had my cell phone with me and called 911 to get me out as my husband was out of town and we were the only ones home. We have now removed all of these levers so this never happens again!

Awesome and easy to use product! I have a 20 week old and 6year old and my 6year old it works on so I'm sure with the new baby it will be perfect!

This type of door handle is easier for little ones to reach and open than standard doorknobs. This works well.

Outsmart Lever Lock

The Safety 1st Outsmart Lever Lock is a great product. The lock attaches to a hinge door knob very easily. The buttons to operate the lock are on the side so a child is not able to open the lock. There is a button on the front of the lock that little ones can press and has no function. It only opens from the side buttons. I really like this lock and its perfect for the hinged door knob.

I have a husband with Alzheimers and this safety lock works well on a lever door handle. He has not figured out how to open it.
