HB Model 49465RG is a simple coffeemaker

I give it 3½ stars. This replaced a 10 yr old HB coffeemaker that had similar features. With cold water, this one brews at 185°F and holds at 170° in carafe. With hot water, it brews at 200° (ideal). The carafe and filltank markings are higher compared to pyrex glass cup measurements, so use trial and error to get the preferred amount and brew strength. This model does not have a brew strength dial.

The coffee maker is not 12 cups as indicated on the packaging and the web site. The standard cup is 8 ounces. This one is 5 ounces. Also when the coffee is brewing I can hear the water hitting the base the pot is sitting on. It leaves burn marks that are not easy to remove.

I give 4 out of 5 because it’s better than average in the efficiency of the brewing process itself and ranked it one less than a 5 because it has a slight issue with the auto system.
