Do not buy! Non-replaceable battery!

I think that this unit is a decent replacement for my BE670M1, which is now several years old. I'm highly disappointed that it has a non-replaceable battery (at least for the user). Why would you design a unit that adds to the e-waste problem? I'm not going to spend the $ to return this to APC for recycling, plus spend an inflated amount just to get a new battery.
Cons: Difficult Maintenance
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for taking the time to review our UPS. I am sorry to hear that you are disappointed that the UPS does not have an user replaceable battery in it. We moved to that option because usually it is more cost effect to replace the entire unit instead of just the internal battery. Also with a new UPS you would get a 3 year manufactures warranty but with replacing just the internal battery you would only get a 2 year manufactures warranty on the internal battery. We will also be adding the option to generate a return label to send the UPS in for recycling.
