Odor reduction really works

I bought this about 6 months ago, and when it was time to replace I decided to downgrade to a less expensive filter without odor reduction; I can smell what I am cooking,( really any smell around the house) in my walk in closet, nowhere else, just there, and its horrible sometimes when the smell of fish or grease lingers. I will be buying only odor reduction filter for now on.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I live in an apartment complex and those around me smoke. The sent filters into my apartment. I tried this filter and I can't smell their smoke anymore! I am extremely happy with the quality of this filter.

I can tell a real difference since switching to this filter. We have two indoor cats, and this filter has greatly reduced the odor they produce!!!

My filter has arrow pointing in direction that would pull carbon into the furnace. This sounds wrong. Is it?

Just tried this filter is a new unit. Filter is so thick will not let proper air flow through the system. the filter cause unit to freeze up and not cool.
