Poor battery life

I own a Dewalt XR random orbit sander Type 2, 20V, model DCW210 TY2. I purchased it about 1 1/2 years ago. My main issue is that the battery has an extremely short use window. I have other Dewalt cordless tools that use the same battery and do not have that problem.
I was using the sander today and marked the time. The total battery life was 15 minutes. Not 15 minutes of continuous sanding, but 15 minutes of some sanding and some of the tool sitting idle. I cannot finish a sanding project using this tool because of the extremely short battery window.
I have used the same battery with my Dewalt cordless drill and will leave the battery inserted for a week or more and still have adequate battery life for that. The same for a Dewalt cordless nailer. It is only the sander that has this issue and it has always had this issue since it was purchased.
Is there some solution available?

Lightweight and smooth

I bought thid 2 weeks ago, and it has been a game-changer! It's incredibly easy to use, lightweight, and the battery life is surprisingly long. I love the freedom of not being tethered to an outlet, and it still provides plenty of power for all my projects. I highly recommend it for anyone who wants a convenient and effective sanding tool.

Worst purchase ever

I purchased the DCW210 random orbit palm sander. Should have been simple, right? Its just a palm sander. But my perfectly good 20v batteries, which I use constantly on my drill and screw gun DONT FIT.

Bad tool

The Little Sander That Could.

The 20V Brushless Cordless Sander has come in handy on so many occasions. From fine finish work to even so rough 40/60 grit sanding. Even on a 2 amp hour battery it lasts a long time. Great Tool!

Great addition

Bought this tool months ago, decided to make some clocks out of walnut. Great tool to finish sand or even take a fair amount off of a bad job from the planer. Dust collector worked like a charm and ran easily on 2 amp battery.
I would recommend this to a friend!
