Toughsystem ** 2.0 **

The star ratings and reviews speak to the quality of the charger and its fast charging capability. However, where the gripe everyone has is with the Toughsystem INcompatibiity. Specifically, Toughsystem 2.0. Sure, Dewalt advertises Toughsystem compatibility, but without a deeper dive, most will find the limitation of the legacy Toughsystem. NOT Toughsystem 2.0. So, for those who read this, makers, DIYers, do not let the design limit what your heart desires. If you have this charger, it's likely you have other Dewalt, or alike, tools to make this unit COMPATIBLE with your Toughsystem 2.0. Do we want it to do more work out of the box? No. Do we stop there? No. Simple cuts on a table saw and your sailing into Toughsystem 2.0 capability with your DCB104 holding on tight as you intended.

Doesn't fit ToughSystem

Extremely disappointed that charger doesn't fit 2.0 ToughSystem. DeWalt please make an adapter so this works. You are a leader in the industry. I have tens of thousands invested in DeWalt. Manual says it will attach and it does not. My first time actually ever being disappointed with DeWalt. Third generation DeWalt owner. And I have never wrote a review.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. The DCB104 attaches to the original Toughsystem not the Toughsystem 2.0. There currently is no adapter for connecting this unit to the 2.0 system. We will pass this along to our product team for review. It is feedback like yours that allows us to make improvements.

Great charger so I bought 2!

Bought 2 of these to charger the 20+ batteries I have... I use the batteries on a daily basis and this charger will top up 4x6ah flex volts in 45mins from flat and 4x9ah in 70mins. I also charge 4x15ah but recommend the 12amp charger for these since they take almost 2 hours in this charger. The batteries do not over heat and it works as expected. Another great product, thank you!

Great charger, but DOESN’T FIT TOUGH SYSTEM

This is one time that I wish I had done my homework first, but I stumbled upon this charger at the local box store & bought it without researching reviews first. It’s misleading because it says it fits the tough system boxes, but it doesn’t. Despite even the owner’s manual illustrations & instructions on how to do so. When I’m wearing more than a 70lbs backpack of hand tools and rolling my tough system 2.0, the last thing I wish to do is have to carry this thing separately.

Annoying it’s not compatible with 2.0 tough system

Does not fit in the tough system 2.0 very well. Takes up very much room as you have to pack it in at an angle. The design could have been made to adapt to either tough system box. Would be nice if this would have fit. Pretty disappointed. It’s hard not to dwell on as I have to pack my tools to different job sites each day. It drives me crazy packing it each day.

Bought 3 of these for I have several batteries making it a lot easier and faster to charge them up quicker and not having to keep up several chargers and caring batteries with them.
