I love this thing its so tiny perfect for auto techs. All my friends recommended i get its milwaukee counterpart the m12 but i went with this because i got an amazing deal and have no regrets its done everything ive asked of it.

I have had this tool for at least 4 years. I use it everyday in the shop repairing cars. Never had one issue . I need to replace the anvil. Sockets won't stay on it is so worn out. It has enough power for its size.

Ideal Compact Impact

So glad I finally upgraded from an impact driver + socket adapter for automotive work, absolutely worth it, and the 3/8" anvil was the right call for me — all my 3/8" sockets go right on and only one adapter away from 1/4" and 1/2". On the non-automotive side, the wood screw mode is a nice touch for bigger lags and construction screws too.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Incredible power in a small package

Tried this tool out, I am a mechanic by trade. I use my DCF923B for all kinds of tasks, suspension work, exhaust work, engine work etc. the DeWalt DCF923B is an awesome tool with tons of torque to break free bolts on any vehicle I work on

Not intended for professional use

Performed well for the first year but after that it went down hill. It wouldn’t reliably change directions and most recently the trigger started to intermittently work. I rely very heavily on this tool to make a living and need to be able to depend on it. There are guys at work with five year old Milwaukees that still work like new. I’ve been forced to change to the competition so I can get the job done. Very disappointed in the longevity of this impact.
