Finally No Cord!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use palm sanders mostly for boat bottom painting and it is really nice not having a cord to constantly get in the way. The weight of the battery doesn't bother me or interfere with the function of the sander. Very happy with it.

Great little sander

I love this little sander. The functionality of a random orbital with the size of a palm. There is some heft to it, so you’re not going to forget it’s there, but it feels sturdy. The variable speed is a nice feature and adds some flexibility. I’m not a fan of the dust collection bag (I’ve never seen one of those work as intended), but I added the DWV9000 and my old (small) shop-vac for an inexpensive and remarkably effective dust collection system.

Dewalt knows sanders!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I dont know what it is about Dewalt sanders, but I always come back for their orbitals (course and cordless). As I start to replace my older tools I've give away from just color matching and focus on now what I feel preforms best. Dewalt sanders just feel ergonomically superior, in addition to have the power no matter what does your on to detail beautiful wood. I've tried others and many feel too built for one hand, or feel like the orbiting patterns are useless. I haven't bought any other brand in the last 15 years, and plan on keeping this habit. Thank you Dewalt for creating such a useful, well developed tool!

Smooth operation

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this sander on an impulse while I was shopping for sandpaper for my current project (floating entertainment center with cherry). I wish I had bought it so much sooner. The selling point for me was the 20V Max platform as I already have other tools and I was growing tired of using extension cords. The weight is very balanced and is extremely easy to operate.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this for those odd ball quick sanding jobs. Thus far I haven't plugged in a corded since I bought this sander. This guy is a bit slower than my DeWalt corded unit. But the hassle free use of this guy is awesome. As far as run time goes with the 5 amp hour battery I haven't had any issues.
