Good for the price

Overall this is a nice sander that provides excellent dust collection with an easy and durable bag that is a snap to empty. A minor but annoying shortcoming is a power cord that tends to be stiff.

Good but could improve

I’m one who tries to always keep tools organized - whether at home or work. The plastic case (previous models), and VAC COMPATIBILITY would be pluses in my opinion.

Excellent sander

I just got this new for home projects and love it. It is very quiet and comfortable to use. The vacuum option works well, the unit feels sturdy and well built. I love the power cord feels like you can pull a car with it. I used in different speeds and love that option if you can get this one instead of the single speed spend the money. I own many dewalt tools and like this one I am glad I purchased and is now part of the family.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Noisy Bearing?

The first time I turned it on it sounds like a noisy bearing, unless that's normal for this orbital sander. I've always had good luck with other Dewalt products in the past so I gave it a few stars for that. And it does do it's job as it should. Just leary about the whining bearing, especially when you put slight pressure on the forward edge of the pad. It would be 5-stars if I had the peace of mind of knowing it's ok.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this little guy in the spring when my Milwaukee failed me. Paired with Diablo sandnets this thing runs flawlessly. Smooth operation and comfortable to work with for extended periods of time. One of the many reasons that the majority of my tools are Dewalt.

Great little sander!

It is powerful and the adjustable speed is a nice feature for more delicate projects. The dust collection is pretty standard. I wish it came with an adapter that fit standard size shop vac hoses. Overall awesome little product!
