I want to love it but the chemical smell...

I've read and heard nothing but good things about all ninja foodi products. I received this as an early Christmas gift and I was so excited to use it. I washed the baskets before using and for some reason every time it is used, there is an overbearing chemical smell coming from the machine. It gave me a headache and the whole house has a chemical smell. Suddenly I don't want to eat the food anymore. Some of the food has the chemical taste too. I'm disappointed and hoping it goes away but it looks like I may have to return it. I truly don't want to because I love the concept and the food seems to cook well but it a chemical smell only worries me that my family is consuming carcinogens.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

love this Air fryer

I brought this with my own money and received it last week. I almost did not buy because all of the reviews from those that received it for free. Well so far I love it, and all food came out great. I only wish the baskets were bigger and that the cook time was not so much longer when using both sides. The match cook and smart finish features are great.

Horrible smell

I bought this 2 days ago and it has horrible chemical plastic smell when cooking and the food tastes with plastic as well. I thought may be it is from the first use, but no it comes every time I use it. Is it possible to fix it ?

Mealtime is fun again!

My husband and I are newly empty-nesters. Mealtime was getting to be a chore and we ended up spending a lot of money getting carry out. Since purchasing our Ninja 6-in-1 8-qt Air Fryer 1 week ago today we have not eaten out once! We originally got a single basket Ninja air fryer with a rack but soon realized it did not work for what we wanted. We took it back the next day and got this DualZone Ninja and what a game changer. We love that you can cook 2 different dishes, 2 different ways, and everything is done at the same time. So far, we've made: steak and fries, shrimp, clams, pizza, donuts and donut holes (omg), grilled cheese, bacon-wrapped pork tenderloin, bacon for BLT's, barbecue chicken wings, chicken nuggets, mozzarella sticks, s'mores and more. Now we look forward to deciding and making dinner each night. Clean up is quick and easy and so much more fun.

So Convenient!

I am so pleased with this new Ninja Dual Basket gadget, I sold my Ninja Foodi since I rarely used the pressure cooker function anyway. It looks so sleek on my counter and saves so much time preparing meals. The times indicated in the charts in the manual are not correct as it does not take as long to cook items as stated, so be careful and check your food often while cooking. Eventually you’ll get the hang of it. I’ve never enjoyed a kitchen gadget as well as this one and it takes just minutes to clean. Excellent product, Ninja!

Great for cooking most anything

We got this as a Christmas present and have really, really enjoyed the food prepared in it.
We followed instructions of washing the trays and running it without food the first time. We have not experienced the chemical odors other have written about.
We did call support after 2 1/2 months of use due to the number 1 light not coming on or flickering on and off or not coming on at all. Also the number 1 fan took longer to spool up when turned on. I was able to show, via video teleconference, the support person exactly what was happening. They shipped us a new base unit within 5 days.
We have prepared asparagus spears, (frozen), broccoli (frozen), salmon, turkey/zucchini burgers. sweet potato and regular potato fries, and zucchini fries.
Clean up is super easy. We look forward to many years of use.

Plastic smell

Like the product, but how to remove plastic smell? It so bad, we tried to cook 4 times just to see if smell will go away, nothing helps.

Chemical smell and taste.

I was so excited to get this for Christmas. I love the concept and idea of it so much. I really enjoy cooking & finding new ways to make my favorite dishes. But I have experienced a strange chemical like smell while cooking and there has been a few times my food has tasted exactly how it smells, it is very unpleasant.
