Replaced an older router / vpn to get to the new standards like OpenVPN. Unit works well with Surfshark service, but only allows 5 connection profiles. As I update routers on my private networks Asus mesh network for wifi be beneficial.

I love most aspects of this router. Set was fairly easy. I love the app and the control you have with it. Range is ok I have a 1700sqft home and the router is located on the main floor center of the house. The coverage is good inside the house but doesn't go very well into the back yard. My wife likes to work outside when the weather is nice I may have to get a boost for her. Overall this router is great!

Easy to update and configure for default settings. Not having to configure for support of multiple bands is a feature I have not seen offered before, automatically connectes to the best band in each device attached. The greatest failure is the apparent lock to print a PDF manual. I often print manuals and add my notes of customization as a reminder to my settings and why. Supporting WiFi6 is absolutely great

Oh My Goodness this Router coupled with the new Modem increased the speed from 70mbs to 227mbs now Downloads go from hours to minuets. I Highly recommend this with the proper Modem.

Great dual band router. It solved my upload problems with my security cameras. I had a little trouble installing (I am NOT computer friendly). I called Customer Service, and in less than 5 minutes, everything was working correctly.

This review is for the RT-AX55 that I purchased about 3 weeks ago. It was the easiest router to set up that I've ever had to do, and with the ASUS phone app it's easy to keep an eye on things like parental controls. When logged in to the router via pc (not the app), all of the auto settings out of the box are pretty good. The layout ASUS uses made it easy for me to find and adjust what little I did want to change. All that is left is the longevity test as this is my first ASUS router. So far I would recommend this router.

My old router was about 10 years old and I was having trouble connecting all my devices due to limited range. My kids gave me this router for Xmas and I am very pleased with it. Range and speeds surpass my expectations. Setup was pretty easy. Would recommend.
