Will not connect even with tech support. Ethernet cable works on the modem but the router will not connect to the internet. I can plug a laptop in and it works great. Problem is with the router.

Great product, One of the antennas doesn’t stay up completely by its self but nothing a little help cant fix. Over all performance with 1gig internet is stellar.

Overall I'm fairly happy with the RT-AX55 router, but I have seen an issue so far with poor performance when running the speedtest app. I have AT&T fiber at the 5oo Mbps tier. Speedtest was showing the download/upload speed in the low 100 Mbps range. I then rebooted the router and repeated Speedtest which then showed the download/upload at about the 550 Mbps range. I currently have firmware level 3.0.0.4.386_49559 (the latest). Hopefully this will be corrected in a new firmware release. In the meantime, I will reboot the router every few days.

My old router was needing frequent resets and only delivered 80 to 13 meg speeds on 2 gig and about 140 on 5 gig wifi. The AX55 brought me right up to 250 meg on both bands and covers the whole two story house. It does drop as distance increases of course. Menu navigation is easy and the built in VPN is a nice feature. It’s only needed one reset in the two months I have had it, I believe from a network problem. Very satisfied compared to the old CT-10.

The RT-AX55 booted up right out the box. It was easy to add the RT-AX55 the AiMesh using the ASUS GT-AC5300 software, three mouse clicks and it was done adding in 10 minutes.
