Great router at a good value. Much better coverage than my old router for my home. I place the router in about the center of the house and the wifi coverage extends throughout 2500sq ft. Covering the entire house. I was able to do away with my extender/access point that I used before to cover the garage.

I updated my previous router (RT-N53) since the LAN speed was 100 MB instead of 1GB and I wanted to stay with the same brand since I never had any issues with that previous router. I like the lifetime virus protection and app access.

I started off with the first unit which is the RT-AX88U then a couple weeks later I saw Good at work. Purchased another unit for mesh on the property. RT-AX55 I plan on getting one more. I'm on a large property which is quite spread out. I'm using Starlink as my provider. We still have our terrible service with century link but I'm keeping it for now.

My modem and router are in the basement. The reception upstairs was not good. AX55 is used as aiMesh to work with the router in basement. It enhanced reception. All IoT's are working properly as a result.
