Unable to use with digital mixer. We need to be able to use it without connecting to the internet. Every time we try we get a pop up telling us we have to plug in the ethernet port for the internet. When we try to enter the ip address of the mixer we are told we must connect to the internet. This router is a huge disappointment.

We do understand the inconvenience this may have caused if you are experiencing connection problem.
To be able to setup the router for local area network only, without internet, please access the router's setting page, navigate to the "Operation Mode" setion, and select "Access Point(AP)" mode, this will disable the router's WAN functionality and allow devices to connect withon your local network. Additionally, you will need to configure the desired SSID and password for your local WIFI network. Since having this installed by my local provider it continues to buffer when trying to watch television that is 10 feet away.

To resolve the unstable connection, please verify the PC or device connecting to the router is working properly and within range to the router, the router is within 30 feet to the ISP's modem, if not wired by a network cable, and ISP's internet service or connection is working properly or stable. Check your ISP information and ensure that your WAN settings in the router's setup page are correct. Try resetting the mesh router and reconfigure the devices. Also we recommend updating the Mesh router firmware if it running with an older version. Great WiFi coverage, but as a replacement for an older ASUS router, I lost capability too. I maintained a shared storage using the dual USB ports on my previous RT-AC68 router, but those ports are not present on the RT-AX55. Other than that the porting was a breeze.
