After 15 yrs our previous espresso machine quit so after months of research and keeping the budget in mind I decided on the Ultra machine. LCD screen keeps it simple

I bought this mostly for lattes, and I’m glad I did. The LCD screen makes a big difference, and the milk texture is much closer to what I get at a coffee shop. It feels like a good fit for someone who wants better coffee without a giant learning curve.

Temperature control really helps

This has made my morning coffee routine a lot easier. The adjustable brew temperature is the thing I notice most, especially when I’m half awake and just want a good espresso without overthinking it. It took me a couple tries to dial in the grind, but after that it was smooth sailing.

20-bar pressure pulls rich shots

I was honestly surprised by how strong the 20-bar pressure feels. My shots come out with better crema than my old machine, and it doesn’t take a bunch of fussing to get something I actually want to drink. I’ve been using medium roast beans and the flavor has been nicely balanced.

I am enjoying my machine. It pulls very well. My only issue I have is that it doesn’t get hot enough for my liking. I thought 96 degrees was hot enough but it’s not. The steam wand is easy to use and the hot water gets really hot! Overall this was a good level up espresso machine for me.
