Based on first use, works as it should but construction quality is less than satisfactory. The top is wobbly on its hinge and the temperature adjustment slider is loose, as if a screw wasn't fully tightened, leaving the exact setting uncertain.

It's a great waffle maker. The only negative is the sloppiness of the slider for doneness. It's ridiculously loose, but is usable.
