After doing a ton of research and even buying another bag, I landed on this one for business travel. Along with compression cubes, you can technically use this or the 40L for one bag travel. The clamshell compartment helps to make this bag indispensable because of how you can utilize the space. The 28L Aion backpack and the matching carry-on spinner make a great pair, look phenomenal and have lots of great organizational features. I’ve never had a bad experience with a Thule product thus far. Thanks for putting your best into your products!
After returning from European travel without a decent travel pack, I immediately sought out the best pack I could find, and it turned out to be from the same company that made my wheeled luggage - Thule. My first experience with this pack was domestic business travel in the US. Three days of clothing and computer fit easily in the Aion, and there was room to spare. The rugged ballistic cloth held up to all the rigors of plane travel, and access to necessities was easy to reach when needed. I definitely recommend the Aion travel pack.
I did a lot of research before choosing the Thule Aion backpack for internacional travel. I was not disappointed, the pack is well make from tough materials. Large enough to hold about half my stuff for a 10 day trip. Looking forward to putting it through its paces here in about two weeks.
This is the best backpack for lugging around a computer everywhere you go. Very comfortable, the zippers feel awesome to use, the pockets are well placed. Space is great, I use it for a daily, I carry a few ergonomic items like a laptop stand, small bluetooth keyboard, mousepad and wrist rest and it all fits in nicely, and it has tons of space while not feeling too bulky or baggy. I will also use it when I travel, and it likely has enough space where I can bring this as an only bag on a high percentage of trips. Highly Reccomend
I travel for work often and was excited to come across this bag. The bag is okay, the straps are disappointing. Narrow enough to cut into my chest and shoulders when I have the bag filled (which is always because I only pack carry-on). The material inside the straps seems cheap and I can’t imagine it will hold up very long. The straps also attach to the bag about 2 inches below the top of the bag, and offer no way to snug the top of the bag closer to your shoulders. It ends up hanging low and leans out from the shoulder making the weight feel more awkward and not totally secure. There’s a cross-chest strap that helps, but doesn’t fix the issue.
All though I haven't travel yet, I am packed and ready to go, leaving in a day. I feel very organized and was able to pack everything I wanted with room to spare!
I've been using the Thule Aion Backpack for a few weeks now. I purchased this for international travel and wanted a bag with all these features and the ability to fit under the plane seat. Currently I am using it for every day work travel and it has not disappointed. The backpack is comfortable, functional and I have no worries about it. I am glad I did the research and this bag has all the features that any traveler would want and the bonus of it being comfortable to carry. Hands down the best backpack I have purchased.
