For anyone who travels frequently and needs a good size option for carry-on, this bag is awesome. I want to point out how SMOOTHLY the wheels roll on this bag, and since it's a 4-wheeler it can roll upright or leaned. Smooth like 'buttah.' The internal size is adequate for a few days of travel and is spacious. The grab handles surrounding the bag make it easy to get at no matter how it had to get tucked into the overhead. Hopefully if you're lucky and the airlines don't force you to gate check, you'll be able to see how easily it is to lift and fit into the overhead due to it's design. The height of the handles may be a little low if you're taller than 6'3", but let's be honest if you're that tall then any luggage will feel small. The zippers open smoothly and easily, but feel sturdy enough to handle a beating. I've had 4 different Thule bags - backpacks and duffel, and I'd say their fabrics are incredibly durable. They show very little wear and tear over time with no pilling. The smooth fabric also prevents much water from beading up on them, but keep in mind it IS NOT waterproof. You definitely pay for the quality and design on these bags, but coming from someone who's had many other quality pieces from high end luggage, this is a great step up for someone looking for less clutter and cleaner look, but not sacrifice the durability and comfort. Thule for the win.

I absolutely love Thule products, I love the brand, but this product disappointed me a bit so I returned it. The main reason was the zipper - the product is really well made (as usual), but I believe there is a design flaw. The weight of the material on the zipper caused the zipper to skip and catch when opening and closing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good bag, bad wheels.

Wheels are terrible. Tips endlessly even on tile floors. On carpet it’s unmanageable.
Good size, good organization but the reason you buy a spinner bag is to roll it. The Subterranean fails in this regard.
This is my second Thule where the wheels were a problem.
