GREAT CAMERA

I've had this camera since 10/2010, & it's been GREAT! Good Batt. life, & I like the rechargeable batt. I've had many diff. Canon cameras since 1970, & I'm VERY pleased with this one. Now being older I don't want to carry a Lg. camera around, & this does ALL I need. I've ALWAYS been pleased with Canon's quality. Takes excellent picts. & the color is beautiful. Nice Lg. screen too! I just can't find anything bad to say about it. I'm just amazed with the functions that Canon squeezed into this little camera! I don't understand one persons complaint that he thought it was flimsy construction, which makes no sense to me. I would think he had checked it first before buying! I think this one has a really nice heft to it, & doesn't seem at all flimsy to me, just the opposite! I would recommend this one to anyone interested in a point shoot. Thanks Canon for another great camera!
Pros: good battery life, Good Low-Light Performance, Nice features/settings, excellent image quality, durable, Bright LCD, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use
I would recommend this to a friend!

Now i have a few backup compacts to the S95-tried to save some $$ and got the 3d and 2d rated cameras never was completely satisfied and always wondered if the S95 was better(as you probably will too). Should have paid the$ then and got the best.-been WAY cheaper for me. This unit simply amazes me in low light,in room or average restaurant light photos are tack sharp and spot on colors even skin tones. This is where the S95 does its best work folks. Outside in good light most cameras will be almost as good-maybe better cause this only a 3.8 zoom.(only weakness)
Pros: Good Low-Light Performance, Nice features/settings, excellent image quality, durable, Bright LCD, Lightweight/Portable, easy to use, did i say great low light performance, low light 5stars
Cons: only a 3.8 zoom-wish had more.

Greatest Point and Shoot Ever

I am a professional photographer of some 35 years, and this camera brings me back to the old days with the aperture ring to choose the f stop or shutter speed or ISO. It is a great tool that fits in your pocket. The slightly bigger sensor really makes a difference in shadow detail. I have owned 6 other point and shoots, this one trumps them all. I think it might be confusing for an amateur because of all the setting options, but for me it is a major hit. Love it
Pros: Good Low-Light Performance, Nice features/settings, excellent image quality, durable, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use, nice finish easy to hold
Cons: Short battery life

Replaced my S90 (lost it in Vegas):

I had owned an S100 for 10 days, and exchanged it for the S95. Understand, I owned an S90.
My review.
Since it has the same components, it takes great images. I love it but still getting used to it. Great new features, super vivid kinda gives me a headache. So I don't use it much. Great macro, great images. Great S90 replacement.
Pros: great photos, features, 95% like an s90, very happy with it
Cons: not an s90

Purchased camera to replace older Elph. Wanted to have the slim style but give me the features of a DSLR. The great thing is I can stick this in a sleeve and no one knows its there. Great for shooting quick touristy pics in busy cities. There are a few thing I wish it could do more of but its just because I want the world. Great camera!
Pros: good battery life, Good Low-Light Performance, Nice features/settings, excellent image quality, durable, Bright LCD, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use

Good camera with minor annoyances

The S95 is a good camera that produces outstanding images. The control locations are somewhat cumbersome and the menus are not very intuitive to navigate, but the performance of the camera makes up for these flaws.
Image quality is outstanding. Video quality is outstanding. Images in low light are outstanding. If the control knobs and buttons were better located and the menus more intuitive and easy to navigate this would be the best camera ever made. Instead it is just a very good camera.
Pros: good battery life, Good Low-Light Performance, Nice features/settings, excellent image quality, Bright LCD, Lightweight/Portable
Cons: Complicated controls/menu, button location

This is probably one of the best deals on a pocket point and shoot cameras out there. The lens is awesome, wide aperture lets you take shots without using flash where you never thought it was possible. Museum goers - this is great camera for you. Last year I took it to Paris and was extremely happy with natural light indoor photography. It is built like a tank and very compact - it will actually comfortably fit in a jean pocket. Had no issues with it in about 2 years of abuse. Perfect companion to my D7000.
Pros: Fast auto-focus, Superior build quality, Super-sharp images, low light performance, portrait lens

This camera takes great pictures right out of the box. The auto mode worked great on 2 cloudy ski days. Do yourself a favor and take the time to learn the more advanced features. The advanced features give this camera DSLR performace in a nice small package.
The best camera is the one you have with you when the important shot arrives. This camera fits the bill.
Pros: good battery life, Good Low-Light Performance, Nice features/settings, excellent image quality, durable, Bright LCD, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use
