I am running short of words: This is the best Canon I owned so far. Had the feel of a DSLR in a regular cam.
Pros: high quality images at 20x zoom, excellent image stabilization, excellent night captures, long battery life, good quality video
Cons: cost, no continous capture mode
I would recommend this to a friend!

Microphone is dead - no sound is recorded on videos anymore, so that's pretty much useless...

I got my camera for Christmas, a present from my mom, when the camera first came out. She had the 10 mega pixel and I loved that camera. I've taken thousands of pictures. I make sure I have fresh batteries at all times. I don't uses generic batteries, I've found that I'm replacing them after a few pictures. I took my step-daughters wedding pictures and they were better than the persons they hired. The zoom is wonderful. Pictures are clear.
Pros: good battery life, Good Low-Light Performance, Nice features/settings, excellent image quality, durable, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use, takes clear zoom pictures
I would recommend this to a friend!

i have had y cam for bout 6 months, i did not use it often until recently, and was dissappointed with it. first the otside shutter got stuck would'nt open, got that fixed. i took it to a concert, took many pics. zoom ws good except for the frequent random blurriness. the thing i hate the worst is when i push the button to get the pic, there is a delay of 3 to 5 secs maybe longer before the camera decids it is ready to do it. some of the pics were blck as if the camera stter didnt bother to open at all. i hate this camera.
Pros: good battery life, Good Low-Light Performance, Bright LCD

The first one that I bought was dead, but it had the price and features that I wanted, minus panorama assist. I returned it for exchange and the ENTIRE shipment of these cameras from that store were dead. I went to another store that happened to have this camera 20 dollars cheaper! So I picked it up!! It worked just fine, then one day (after taking GOOD care of it) it just went kaput. Horrible investment, I wish I would've waited and bought another camera.
Pros: easy to use
Cons: Short battery life, Flimsy Construction

camera is so unbelievably complex, & features & option choices so numerous, & keep popping into/onto the display, that it interferes with picture-taking. i spent several hours when i 1st got camera reviewing 200 pg. owner manual & was pretty satisfied with initial pics. really enjoyed snapping pics by smiling or winking -- [totally, totally unnecessary capability for me but, pretty cool. then, i didn't use it again for 6 wks., when i went on vacation, & forgot details from 200-pg.-manual, & didn't want to drag copy with me & am totally frustrated trying to take a stink'in picture. i'm 60+ yrs. old.

I've been using this camea for 2 year now. When I first received it, I thought it was wonderful, but thats only because it was my first camera. I found the product very useful. The image quality is great and its very lightweight, but the battery life runs out in about 10 minutes with the camera being on. The zoom quality is terrible, whenever I zoom in it does not focus so I completely gave up on that. The only person I would recommend this to is someone who first experiencing with a camera, if not then I suggest a better Canon camera that would suit you. Have a good day.
Pros: excellent image quality, Bright LCD, Lightweight/Portable, hd video
Cons: Poor Low-Light Performance, Difficult to use, Short battery life, Complicated controls/menu, Flimsy Construction, importing to computer, zoom quality
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The Best Cameras

We use our camera a lot. It take clear images and well as sharp video with great sound. Everything about this camera is user friendly. Set up is easy to understand. This camera is great for a beginner to expert. Prior to this purchase, we purchased another brand name digital camera that was highly rated. It was a big disappointment! Canon is one of the best products for your multimedia needs. We have a much older powershot (2003) that still works great as well.
Pros: price, ease of use, technology, features
Cons: unable to take still images whille in video mode
I would recommend this to a friend!
