Overall Extremely Satisfactory BUT,

Overall, I love this camera, but it takes away from the value because of the short battery life. I will be taking pictures for about a day or so, and then the battery will flash off telling me to replace the batteries. As a result, I either have to constantly keep batteries at hand or stop taking pictures altogether until I get new ones. This means that I miss ideal opportunities for a fantastic picture.
Pros: Good Low-Light Performance, Nice features/settings, excellent image quality, durable, Bright LCD, Lightweight/Portable, easy to use
Cons: Short battery life, Complicated controls/menu

Had this camera for a little over a year, when the flash "died".
Technician online was very helpful, but it needs repaired. I feel this should not have happened this quickly with the camera. Not going to repair it as the warranty is expired.

This purchase was an excellent choice. It is handy and full of features. No matter what size the job this camera covers better than some of the bigger cameras. The price is unbelieveable. I carry this camera everywhere I go.
Pros: features, size, functionality, megapixels

I'm glad I got this electronic device. I still can't believe I found a nice digital camera. I like that is packed with great features. My favorites 12x digital zoom, 28mm wide lens, 12.1 mega pixel, huge LCD, and video recording with great sound. The main reason I got this camera was mostly luck and the price.

DIsappointed with this camera

I just bought this camera before Christmas and I'm really disappointed. The battery life using the flash is terrible, even using the recommended NiMH 2300 mAh rechargeable batteries. The picture quality with new batteries is good for posed pictures. However, if anyone is moving the pictures have blurry areas even when on the kids and pets setting. After taking just a few pictures it seems to take forever to write to the SD card so taking multiple shots is impossible. Again, with a brand new batteries you can use the continous shotting mode and it works but not once you've taken a few pictures. My daughter has a different Canon camera and she can take 3 shots while this camera is still writing to the SD card.
I haven't used the camera outside yet, I think it would be much when you don't have to use the flash. This is the most expensive camera I've ever bought. I'm hoping I can return it and get something else that will do multiple shots faster and not take so many batteries.

I have owned Canon cameras and digital cameras for most of my life. This is the 1st one that I felt like I needed to return. SLOW . Low light (even with additional flash), display of image was different thatnpicture. Disappointed

We bought our camera for vacation. We took our 8 year old on her first flight and first visit to Disneyland. They shots were great and easy to use. We have wonderful memories and the pictures to reflect on.
I do have one problem and it is the date appears on the front of the picture. I always am disapointed if a picture isn't dated but I would like it to be on the back. Am I missing something in the manual to change this.
