Mixed good and so-so and needs work...

Great noise canceling, extremely overpriced, fresh air filter very helpful and soothing, facemask uncomfortable and ugly and gets in the way, controls difficult and software unganely, headband and earpads very comfortable, may or may not recommend this costly product.

Lacking in volume and bass

I am not satisfied with the bass or volume on this model.
The low end bass is lacking and hopefully Dyson will fix this on the next model.
Not worth the price because it is lacking.

Great sound, better breathing, but cumbersome

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been in the market for the "perfect headphones" for as long as I can remember. Dyson Zone pretty much fits that description, plus has some features that I did not know I needed/wanted.
The sound is excellent. And, as someone with sensitive ears and a family history of hearing loss, the information in the Dyson app regarding sound hygiene is very helpful and reassuring.
As far as the air purification, the set-up is super simple, and the improvement in the air is instant and extremely noticeable. Living in New York can be truly disgusting at times, and I can certainly see this improving my commute. That said, the apparatus is pretty bulky and it might look strange to wear in public.
Last thing - it's actually frustratingly difficult to turn the headphones off once on. And they like to connect to calls and sound even when you think you have turned them "off." I do think, had this not been such a frustration, and the process of getting information on the App so time consuming, I would have given 5 Stars.

Beats with Breezes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don't know what I thought I was getting myself into, but this is better than I would've imagined. Starting with the headphones. The audio response is spectacular. I can adjust the EQ to get a well rounded, yet punchy bass, or tune it back to get nice and balanced tones for jazz or classical. I've listened to a few audio tracts that contain spatial audio and I was floored. While the unit overall does feel quite heavy in my hands, somehow I didn't experience any discomfort after wearing them for about 2 hours straight. The ear cushions are also very comfortable with anime padding.
The noise cancellation was pretty breathtaking in a few environments I was in. Walking down the sidewalk next to traffic, each car was nothing more than a whisper, if that. I can't wait to test it out on a flight.
With air purification I can say that my number one fear was that the air was going to be directed towards my eyes and cause them to become irritated or dry out. That issue doesn't exist at all. In fact, the airflow on high speed oddly feels very comforting and relaxing.
Walking around outside here in dusty Arizona I can say the microclimate effect was striking. I am generally pollen sensitive and it doesn't take much for me to start sneezing or coughing outside. In fact, as I was starting to have a bout, I turned on purification and within a minute or so I felt completely normal. During a light jog the airflow did increase which was encouraging. Conversation mode also worked extremely well and I didn't feel like I was yelling nor did I have any issues hearing what anybody was saying to me even with an inside voice.
The air visor is relatively easy to disassemble and clean.
From a price point perspective, this product's audience is definitely not your average middle class family, however I don't think it was intended to either at this stage. I'm curious to see how much replacement filters will cost and also what degree of life I get out of them, especially with primary use being in an era that is very dusty. The audience definitely feels like it's for individuals who live in desert regions like me or large city centers that are known to be heavily polluted such as New York. I could also see iterations of this product, sans audio, for vulnerable portions of the population who would benefit from a personal microclimate of filtered air.
I'll look forward to seeing how widely this gets adopted and also what iterations come next.

Bought this a while ago. Sound is ehh and the mask thing is just uncomfortable. Probably one of those products that just never need to be created again. Might fix the problem there.

Great Engineering - Dyson Innovation

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tested this product for a week and found it to be very innovative on Dysons design and engineering. It was 2 x heavier than my normal headset, but I felt the overall usefullness and innovative safety - airlow filtering is worth the weight. The sound quality and nose cancelling were also top of the line as compared to other top brands. The iphone app, functioned well and was easy to use. I had zero issues with setup and use, as a matter of fact I used it within minutes of opening the box and had my blue tooth / music setup faster than that. As v1 of this device, I must say Dyson did an amazing job. I'd like to see them lower the weight, but otherwise the comfort was amazing. The ear/head pads are so comforable and adapt to putting on and taking off sunglasses/readers. I can't say enough wonderful things about this product. If you are going to wear a mask in public for any reason, wear this instead as the overall experience is better.

A ‘Breath Of Fresh Air’ In Audio

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was chosen by Dyson to give my impartial review of the new Dyson Zone which was sent to me and in return I would be able to keep the device. So, here we go:
Unboxing the device was easy. It comes with a pair of headphones, a face mask, 2 filters, a cleaning brush, a USBC charging cable, a cloth carrying cover for the face mask and a cool looking carrying case for the headphones and mask.
My personal opinion from using the Dyson Zone for over 2 weeks is, overall, I love it. It fits my lifestyle. I am a combat veteran that has had traumatic brain injuries and I sometimes get hypersensitive hearing and have had chronic environmental allergies. The ANC noise canceling feature is superb! When my hearing is sensitive to loud noises, I turn on the noise canceling feature and it does a great job of diminishing the loud noises to the point that it helps with my hearing sensitivity. They are superior to any of the other noise canceling headphones out there that I have tried. The sound of the audio is pretty good and Dyson seems to want to keep your hearing intact so the hearing is made for a safe listening volume. The sound is crisp and loud enough and there is enough base to get you moving to whatever you want to rock out to. It’s especially a good thing as my two young preteens hijacked them for a few days and they also loved them. The headphones have easy to use buttons to control the audio/noise canceling manually or you can control the audio and the air purification on your phone and Dyson’s easy to use app.
When I first put on the headphones I thought that they were going to be really heavy (don’t get me wrong, they are compared to other brands) but given that it is an air purifier also and so small, it’s not to bad. The headband top has a soft velvety cushion to help with weight as well at the ear cushions. They are super soft and they don’t make my ears sweat like other headphones which is really nice. It is really easy to pair the Dyson Zone to my iPhone.
Now let’s get to the “cool” feature (pun intended) of the Dyson Zone. What more can I say, I love it! As I said earlier I suffer from horrible environmental allergies and when I put it on I had my doubts, but they work! My allergies clear up in a few minutes. Unfortunately I passed down my allergies to my kids and they tried them and it worked for them also. I can’t speak for everyone as we are all different but for me and my boys the air purification technology is amazing. It does not fall short of what Dyson does best in air purification. We were given a blue and silver model with a blue and silver mirror color. When you put it on, it is definitely different. It felt like when we all first started wearing masks in public and felt weird. But my kids loved it and said when you wear it you looked like Optimus prime from The Transformers movies. It grew on me. It took it out for a spin outdoes in public a few times and got some crazy looks but overall people were curious to know what this device was all about. I’m a people person so I had no problems telling them and as for the crazy looks I got I don’t care. I was listening to my music, breathing in clean air and in my own world as most of us do when we have headphones on.
The battery life on it is long o wore it for 4 hours straight on a plan and believe me, I wore them and used the air purification while in the plane. It is awesome. You can also make and receive calls on them. And the mask is magnetic so it is really easy and simple to put on or take off.
The cons of the Dyson Zone are that they can be a bit bulky and I hope they have different color mask you can purchase later on. But that’s about it. The looks you will get but hey that can be a good thing. How many pearls can say they are listing to music in their Dyson 😆

Solid Headphones with One-of-a-kind feature

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, I like these headphones. Sound quality and noise-canceling are excellent. I totally enjoyed listening to songs of various genres. They fit comfortably on the head and over the ears. Even if they were resting around my neck when I was not listening to music but walking outside, the weight helps them sit in place. They actually look really cool to have around my neck! Now that being said, when they are on my head, it feels a tad heavy. I wouldn't wear them for walking or working out, which is ironic and defeating the purpose of having the air filtering system. So I took one star off.
The way the visor is attached to the headphones is very satisfying. Adjusting the visor height is easy, and the air filtering automatically stops when the visor is pulled down for talking. Since I live in an area where the air quality is pretty good, I can't tell how effective the filters are. But whenever I breathe in the filtered air from the headphones, I feel super relaxed and want to take a nap lol I'm not sure if the filtered air is doing its thing!
