Inspiring Barbie

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very nice commemorative Barbie doll celebrating civil rights activist Dr Opal Lee. I'm happy my girls have Barbies that are strong female figures, and I enjoyed telling them about her and then they incorporated it into their play time! Thank you Barbie for choosing such inspirational women to turn into Barbies!

"I got a grandma barbie"?!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] "I got a grandma Barbie"? This was my daughter's initial reaction. She still loved it and opened itnup with enthusiasm. My daughter was looking to see what does this barbie do because its appears to be more of a collectible doll.

A great doll!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a really great doll. Its obviously collectible, so my child was a little hesitant to play with her. But once Opal was out of the package, she immediately fit into our Barbie world. She has great accessories, and the packaging is educational in itself. The only drawback is feeling like she needs to be displayed on a shelf like other collectible dolls.

A New Doll to Expand Your Child’s Play World

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am apt to love any doll from the Inspiring Women series for the messaging, the detail, the articulation, and the diversity. The Opal Lee doll is no different. I appreciate the representation of an older doll and I believe children will love the opportunity to include a grandmother or older neighbor in their imaginative play. The facial screening looks good, she has enough joints for reasonable play, and I am pleasantly shocked at how good her hair looks out of the box. See pictures for reference.

Inspiring Women Opal Lee Barbie

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What a great addition to the inspiring women collection. The details on the Dr. Opal Lee doll are beautiful. From her casual outfit to her perfectly curly silver/white hair. A great way to introduce her activism in getting Juneteenth recognized as a federal holiday and the work that still needs to be done.
