I had to purchase this replacement because the one that came with my computer frayed so badly in 14 months that it stopped working. Imagine my excitement at the opportunity to acquire a luxury $100 charger, it was a joy to open the box the luxury packaging. Since arriving, the charger has worked well! Recently I notice the cable is starting to fray similarly to my last one, I felt this was very kind of the charger to want to remind me of my previous charger so soon. Wonderful of Lenovo to make the charger with a replicable cable to the outlet, but keeping the side that regularly frays which is connected to the computer hardwired into the power supply. This fantastic decision is clearly for my benefit, as soon I'll get to have that wonderful purchase experience again!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
