Like it but don't love it

I bought the scoring stylus thinking it would help save time versus using the scoring wheel. I like it....but don't love it. I don't have to stop and change to the scoring wheel during a project. However, the stylus does not do well on cardstock and on some of my projects I have to go back over the score mark manually.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Works ok. I wasn’t impressed so bought the scoring wheel. That doesn’t work any better unless you go over it twice so you could just save your money and buy this.

Terrible tool

This tool does NOT work on the Explore Air. It doesn't push down far enough and there is no alternative. The Air needs another type of tool. I JUST got the air - I am NOT upgrading to the Maker yet. Make a tool for the Air that SCORES PROPERLY!

Once I figured out you have to make sure you have it FULLY inserted it works great. For those that it didn’t work I would suggest making sure you have it shoved all the way down.

I have a Cricut Maker and used the Scoring Stylus for a graduation card. It worked perfect. You do need to edit the tools option and select the Scoring Stylus.

I have a Cricut Explore, and find that the stylus does not work very well. It leaves a faint line that is not useful for folding. I wish you could insert it farther into the housing!

Scoring Stylus with Cricut Maker

I don't have the Scoring Wheel yet, so I used the Scoring Stylus instead after seeing that it was an option in the settings. The first project I used it on worked great. The second time I attempted to use it, the stylus kept popping out of the Clamp A. It was snapped down so the arrow disappeared; multiple tries and same thing. I don't understand why it worked the first time and not after that. I would give 5 stars if it would consistently work.

Good scoring tool

This pen styled scoring tool works great for most projects. I've even used it to emboss copper sheets and it does a great job. It does seem a little loose fitting in the housing due to it wobbling a little, but it has never messed up a score/emboss project.
