Doesn't seem to work with ExploreAir 2

I read some of the reviews that the scoring stylus didn't work with the Air2 but bought it any way. It is a disappointment as I have to measure the paper and then use the scoring stylus to draw the line. Is there a fix for this as I don't want to spend more money on something that doesn't work? I like the machine and the tools that I got with it but not the scoring stylus.
The scoring stylus has always worked just fine for me! It scores the paper to make the paper easier to fold, no more no less! I've had an Explorer and now I have the Maker and it works just as it is suppose to! You have to push it down into it's housing until the arrow on it completely disappears … it's suppose to make an indention for scoring, hence making a clean fold for your card! I think it works perfect if you push it down into the housing until the arrow on the stylus disappears … I hope this helps someone, if not I wasted a lot of finger power! Lol! Good luck!
Once I figured out you have to make sure you have it FULLY inserted it works great. For those that it didn’t work I would suggest making sure you have it shoved all the way down.
I bought this after I got my air 2. Thought this would be great since I plan on making a bunch of cards etc. It didn't work at all. There was barely a mark for me to see even to try and fold. I had to look at it from different views in the light to even notice it. Very disappointed.
I received a new Cricut maker for Christmas I have the stylus also. It Does Not work on it either. Save your money!! I was going to try and see if I can emboss with it. Haven't tried it yet. Will see if it will work for that. Didn't want to even give it 1 star.
Mine came with my Air 2, and it's such a disappointment. All it really does is mark where I should go back with my bone folder and ruler, which great, but that's not scoring. And now, after a month of pretty gentle use, it pops up out of the housing half way through a single page of scoring (nothing complicated, just a single box on regular good old cardstock). I ended up having to switch to using a pencil in the holder and then going back over with the bone folder and ruler, which having done this with both the score tool and the pencil, the result is basically the same.
I really was looking forward to scoring, and I just got the Air 2 so I don't want to upgrade already. I feel like this is basic functionality.
I have used it on card stock up to 78#. Be patient and the use of a boning knife/straight edge is helpful. It will not score foil acetate well. The Maker will score foil acetate, but the Air/Air 2 will have to score it on a table by hand. Overall, it is my most used accessory in my Air 2.
This tool does NOT work on the Explore Air. It doesn't push down far enough and there is no alternative. The Air needs another type of tool. I JUST got the air - I am NOT upgrading to the Maker yet. Make a tool for the Air that SCORES PROPERLY!
