Great for 4k60fps ProRes on iPhones!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been testing it all day and it works really well with my 15 pro max. I can actually record 4k60fps on ProRes now. It transfers the files pretty fast to my pc. It’s also really compact and portable! It can get a little warm sometimes though.

Dreamy Video Recording on iPhone

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a really neat device, and it provides an excellent way to record video format directly to an external storage device using an iPhone 15 Pro or better. The external storage is extremely easy to use, and accessed directly through the iPhone “Files” app. Recording to the external storage can be done via Settings > Camera > Formats and turning on “Apple ProRes”, or you can use certain 3rd party apps, like Blackmagic Camera. The device is extremely small, making it great for a mobile workstation setup. It also packs away into a nice carrying bag so that nothing gets lost. When plugged into your phone, the SSD and Hub tuck nicely behind the phone, making it easy to hold and work with. The Hub is a great way to use additional peripherals, like a microphone or provide power to the main device. Both devices get warm/hot while in use, and I wouldn’t recommend using them during extremely hot temperatures. Overall, I am really impressed with this setup. It makes recording with an iPhone super easy and demonstrates a lot of thought into how you connect multiple peripherals for the process, while still maintaining the usability of the phone.

Compact and durable SSD

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I appreciate how compact this item is and silicone cover it comes with for durability. As a new content creator I always have videos on my phone that takes up space and I need to transfer. I expected this product to be user friendly since it is targeted towards use with a phone but its quite the learning curve and you can not auto save from phone to ssd. I think the thought behind it is great but having to do the transfer at home I could have just continued with sending to my imac and saving on my larger stationary secondary drive. If you do not have a larger secondary drive and need something compact you can try this out

This is so easy to set up and works great on my iPhone. It seems super durable and definitely is speedy when it comes to saving. I highly recommend picking one of these up if you need more storage space!
