When I removed the original hp 62 cartridges, They seemed to be the same size as the 62xl cartridges that I was installing. How come? How did the 62xl cartridges hold more ink?

Hi there,
I am sorry that this happened to you. I can understand if you are not happy.
If you check the ink levels and it indicates that you still have colored ink, it is possible that the cartridge is clogged and not letting the ink through the tiny inkjets. There is a cleaning routine available from the printer's menu that you can use to clear them out. The routine might need to be run more than once, to clean them all out.
If you only print occasionally, it is a good idea to shut the printer down between uses. However, it is important to always use the power button on the printer itself to turn it off. That gives it time to ‘park’ so that the printhead is protected from excessive drying.
If cleaning doesn't help, please return it. The return and exchange process is covered, step-by-step, at: store.hp.com/us/en/cv/returnsandexchanges
Love getting the 62XL for my printer, both the black and tri-color. I like not having to change my ink out so often, so I much prefer the larger high yeild cartridge.
HP makes it very easy to reorder ink for my HP Envy printer. Shipping could be alittle quicker. I like that they include an envelope to mail my used ink cartridges to be recycled.
When I installed the cartridge it said it was not an HP cartridge but then accepted it. Cartridge boxes were dented during shipping, but product seemed not to be affected.
I purchsed three (3) different ink cartridges and they were shipped to me in a bubble wrap envelope. Two (2) of the three (3) cartridge boxes were crushed. These should have been put in a box to ship which would have protected them a little better.
