[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought a black and a colored cartridge of ink. I haven't used the colored one yet, but the black one has not even last 2 weeks. It started printing a couple pages tonite; then the next page was only printed on one side and the 3rd page was blank. Have never had one go bad this quickly and I have not printed that much with it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi,
I'm sorry that it seemed that the black cartridge ran out too fast. Unless a cartridge was damaged or defective, the ink usage determines how long it will last. High-density prints (such as images and graphs) will use more ink, especially if the paper is highly absorbent and the environment is dry.
Here are some things that might help lower your ink usage: - Use the printer's draft mode and black-only settings whenever possible, to save ink, particularly colors. - Shut the printer down between uses; however, always use the power button on the printer itself to turn it off. That lets it ‘park’ so that the cartridges are protected from excessive drying. - Consider getting Instant Ink. The subscription plans are based on how many pages you print. You can check out the details at: HPinstantink.com
When it appears that the low page yield was caused by a defective cartridge, it is always an option to contact the seller about that.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always purchased HP ink cartridges and have never been disappointed in the quality. I also appreciate the pricing and shipping generosity.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used HP 62XL cartridges in my HP Envy 5660 since it was new. This printer is several years old and it's still working just fine after many, many ink cartridges. I like HP cartridges and I never use generic ink in recycling cartridges.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The best thing you can do for your HP printer is buy HP ink they go perfectly together with no issues at all, a little expensive but like said in my review title top quality.
