Even though there seemed to be ink left in the cartridge, it stopped printing. This never happened before and since I usually renew my order before needed I was able to replace it with a new one and continue printing. It was disappointing to have a defective cartridge at the high prices.
I am afraid the 62xl seems to have about the same amount of ink as the plain 62 in both the black and the color. Bought HP ENVY 5660 and it uses the 62 ink. My last printer used 74xl or 75xl ink and I definitely had a lot more ink than the plain 74 or 75. The xl cartridges were bigger. The 62 & 62xl are exactly the same size. Sorry I bought this printer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi,
I am sorry that it seems that the XL cartridge is not a good value. However, it is the fill level that is different, not the actual size of the cartridge.
If you are interested in saving ink, using the draft and black only settings on your printer helps save ink. Also, shutting the printer down between uses can help. However, you always have to use the power button on the printer itself to turn it off. That will let the printer 'park' itself so that the cartridges are protected from excess drying.
