My wife works as a nurse from home. She works 10-12 hour shifts doing Telehealth. Her previous chair was a fancy full leather chair that continued to grow more uncomfortable the more she used it. With the Hyken Mesh Chair her shifts have been easier to complete. With the mesh it allows more air flow to keep cool the adjustable lumber support has lessened her back strain and overall exhaustion. BEST purchase we have made for her office!
This chair is both comfortable and supportive. The construction is solid. I gave one less star because the headrest is a tad too low and I am average size 5’9” person. Even though the headrest does tilt fore and aft the ability to go straight up a few notches would be ideal.
Several things I don't love about this chair in order of annoyance: 1) My hips sink down into the mesh and kinda get squeezed between the frame...not too noticeable if only sitting for a few minutes but been working from home with COVID so not happening for me. 2) Wearing shorts with the mesh is not very comfortable. 3) the bottom of the head rest support hits the top of my shoulders. I do like the ergonomics of this chair as my back stopped bothering me as much when I started sitting in this chair but the negatives totally outweigh it. I have already bought another chair & was going to return this one but my wife said she would use it in her office (a.k.a. our bedroom). Keep in mind I am 6'1" 240lbs and she's 5'1" and 100+ lbs lighter than me so we'll see if these things bother her as well (minus the headrest which she has indicated she has no interest in keeping).
This chair is a very comfortable. The only part that I would like to change is to raise the headrest up another couple of inches. I am 6 foot and the head rest sits on my neck but is still nice to lean back and relax while on the computer.
