You will not find a better chair for this price point. The chair is great. I sit for around 10 hours a day and I used to do it in a gaming chair. My back would begin to ache and my rear end would start to hurt when buying this staples hyken I instantly noticed much better quality and actual back support. I have sat in Herman Miller Aerons Herman Miller embody and those chairs are great but too expensive. This chair is an amazing alternative for its price. Overall happy with the purchase I just wish the chair didn’t come in all dinged up. There was spots where it looked like someone scratched it against a wall or something. Great chair! Would recommend
The chair's comfortable and relatively light- unfortunately it doesn't have a tilt function although the back does have a limited incline adjustment. It was the most comfortable one I tried in the store within my price range so yeah I'd recommend it for the money it cost.
Having to work from home because of the COVID-19 virus and sitting on my wood dining room chairs made my back hurt quite a bit so I decided to buy an office chair to see if it would help. This is the most comfortable chair and I no longer have back pains while working at my dining room table. It was worth the money!
I bought this chair a couple of years ago and absolutely loved it. I can't believe how comfortable it is - particularly the seat. I thought for sure it would never stand up to my previous super-padded executive chair since there's no padding at all but it beat that one hands down. Over time the hydraulic lift cylinder gave out and I was unable to find a replacement for it anywhere - it's far smaller around than any replacement I could find. I was forced to buy a different chair in March - I've been telecommuting for years and need an office chair - but at the start of the shelter-in-place order the entire city descended on Staples and this model was sold out in black and grey. I bought a different chair that looked fine - and WAS fine for about a week. Then the backaches started. It's June now and the Hyken is back in stock so I just bought it again and will be putting my current chair in the basement as a task chair.
This chair has great back and posture support for the price point (many chairs at this price don't seem to design for good posture). The headrest is designed much to low. It is about 6 inches too low for me (I'm 6'4). It might work if you are 5'10 or shorter in height. The headrest has height adjustment but only one or two inches. I removed it right away. The base seat could also be about 1-2" longer to better support legs. Again I am taller than average but the base needs to be slightly longer even for average height people IMO. I would rate this a 5 star if I was below average height. Pros: 1. Designed with posture in mind. 2. Tilt height adjustment and lower back support work great. 3. No undesired noises from chair during use. Cons: 1. Headrest designed too low with little adjustment. 2. Seat base needs to be 1-2 inches longer. Note: Made in China.
