Hyken Pro is the Way to Go

Hyken Pro addresses just about every issue I have with the standard Hyken. The standard Hyken's mesh seat quickly cuts off leg circulation with the foam front insert, but lacks support if you take it out. Also can't sit cross-legged due to the plastic frame on the sides. This is all COMPLETELY SOLVED with the Hyken Pro's full cushion seat.
Easy tilt tension adjustment on the Pro is another great improvement, not having to reach under the front of the seat; however, only 4 fixed levels of tension adjustment may find some folks stuck in-between their optimal tension points.
Lumbar support is somewhat aggressive even on its lowest setting, but a generous seat back height adjustment range puts it where it's most appreciated. Do wish the full upright position could be more upright/forward.
Armrest adjustability is much improved over the original, but the minimum height is a bit too high if you game with a controller, wheel, or flight yoke in your chair. The "pads" still lack padding, but are now rounded off for much improved comfort over the originals.
Seat back mesh is the same material as the original, which feels pretty cheap and dated, but serviceable. Headrest pivot on mine is a bit looser than the floor model in-store.
Not mentioned in the assembly instructions or marketing material is the seat height and tilt-lock control levers can be mounted to either side of the seat to suit your preference, which is nice for lefties!
The one big thing this chair is missing which could make it perfect for its (sale) price (and can be found in other non-Staples chairs for $300 and under) is seat depth adjustment (paired with a deeper seat pad) for better leg support of users over 5'8". Would love to see a second revision adding this feature, better arm rest adjustability range, and milder lumbar range.
I needed to replace my aging, worn out desk chair in my home office. This chair was on sale and i took a chance..ive been using it for one month and no regrets. There are two sizes based on user's height. I was on the cusp and i went for the smaller size....the optional headrest was too low..so i took it off. If in doubt..size up
I had this chair for about a month and a half and was a little disappointed in it for the price. The back is a little flimsy, it's heavier than I thought (feels heavier than 30lbs) and assembly was a bit tough with just 1 person.
The lumbar support is very great, the cushion is soft/comfy (I can sit comfortably for about 4 hours) and so is the lean back feature. I hope this chair does last me at least 5 to 6 years. Overall, not a bad chair just not worth the price in my opinion compared to other office chairs.
