I purchased this chair in store about 10 weeks ago. After spending a week with a sore neck I tried many chairs to find the perfect one to sit in at a desk for 9 hours a day 5-6 days per week. This chair was by far the most comfortable and my neck issues cleared up in just a few days after beginning to use it. Fast forward several weeks and my husband suffered a rotator cuff injury (yup we are over 50 weekend warriors with an at-home office!). He began using MY chair to be able to work for any length of time. This required another trip to Staples to purchase a second chair. Now we are both happy and comfortable. This chair is easy to position to the correct desk height it rolls easily on a mat and wood floor. I find the lumbar support to be especially helpful. This chair works with two very different body types--I am female approx 210 pounds and 5'6" tall my husband male is 5'8" and weighs 135 soaking wet on a good day. We are both very happy with this purchase.
I bought this to replace a nice high backed manager's chair I've had for years. I developed back trouble and after seeing the x-rays of my back I realized how years of bad posture habits hat contributed. Then I noticed that although the manager's chair had nice curves and padding they were in the wrong places for my body and they were encouraging my bad habits. I shopped around for quite awhile before finding this one. The mesh provides good support while adapting to my individual shape better than a padded chair. It has lumbar support adjustable arms and a comfortable head/neck rest. It's not the perfect chair but I doubt seriously I'll find that in a price range I can afford or without having something custom made. In the mean time this one will work just fine.
WHY WHY WHY would they make a product so close from being awesome and not do it? All this chair needs is a way to control the back to offer some kind of resistance so you don't end up slouching. Right now after 10 min you feel your back slowing going back The rest is great. Love the armrest adjustment love the mesh love the headrest loved the assembly process. Very sturdy parts. Screws fit perfectly. Manual easy to follow. So if you'll sit on your chair for 10-15 min in a row this chair's great. If you'll be working for hours unless you have good abdominals to keep your body straight then you won't like it
I ordered this chair for my home office. It is quite sturdy and was easy to put together. The back and seat are quite supportive. The only improvement I can think of is if the chair arms had a bit more cushion. Overall I am very happy with this purchase and I am thinking of ordering a second chair
This chair is so comfortable ventilation is good doesn't get warm when you sit for a long time. Enough adjustments so you can set it for whatever comfort level you desire. I bought it on sale but it is worth the full price. it is a nice and comfortable piece of furniture for my home office where I spend a great deal of time.
In the store this felt like a good chair. Once I got it home and put it together my opinion changed. I am a big guy and the headrest didn't fit well. So I removed it. Next the longer I sat in the chair the more my back hurt from the stupid lumbar support. No matter how I adjusted it it hurt. Four screws and 4 bolts later it too was removed. I did this rather than taking the 1 hour trip back to the store. Now this chair is nice and I could sit in it all day. More than likely there is another chair just like this but for the price my time and gas money it just wasn't worth the trip back. I would not purchase this chair again.
Went to the local Staples on a late Sunday and bought the last one they had right off the showrrom floor preassembled. Salesperson very helpful & said it is the store's best selling chair. Very comfortable and great ventilation for our non-airconditioned house by the beach. Love the tilt back and headrest combo...perfect for a power nap.
