My new chair is very modern and is comfortable especially since I am 88 yrs old and cannot sit too long. The wire back, seat and head rest design allows the chair to be lighter than older models. The wheels are easy to slide the chair around and it fits neath the computer table nicely.
Got this all assembled and I can't get the seat and back to an upright position. Both are tilted back in the most upright position like it is a recliner not an office chair. In order to use my keyboard, I have to sit on the edge of the seat. Returning it.
The hyken xl is nearly the perfect "budget" office chair, its mostly plastic construction but it feels strong, the seat incredible, its a good width, very well cushioned and the coil springs means it'll probably never flatten.
The arm resets are fairly large but well adjustable, they don't rattle or move a bunch like other chairs ive tried.
But then we get to the deal breaker.. the back on this thing is so reclined even in its most upward position its borderline unusable.
If they ever do a revision and push the upper part of the backrest forward just the tiniest bit this chair will be the big and tall answer
I purchased this chair for my 6’4” husband who was having back pain when sitting for long meetings. The chair offers such great support that he says he can get up pain free afterwards. And the head rest is an additional benefit to reduce neck and shoulder fatigue. Highly recommend!
My partner and I have a height and build difference. Though he uses the chair majority of the time, I like how I can adjust everything to suit me when needed like the lumbar area, the recline and the armrests. It is comfortable and the mesh back allows air flow where the room it is in tends to be on the warmer side.
This model provides excellent support and comfort. It is easily the most worthwhile investment in this price range. The only improvement would be if the lumbar support could be adjusted more freely.
Reasonable price for its type, easy to put together. Seat is comfortable. Materials seem quality for the price point. Specs online didn't provide height range details, so I purchased an XL gas cylinder elsewhere. I didn't need to - the included cylinder probably would have been fine. (I'm 6'2/188cm tall, with slightly shorter legs.)
I would prefer more range for the armrest options, and more control over the resistance offered when leaning back (plus a max lean back setting rather than it then being fixed at that angle at all times), but they're fine for what they are.
