After changing out the cheap batteries it came with, the temperatures read much more consistently. I'm a believer in buying store brands, but still prefer Duracell for my battery operated things that really matter.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Its a battery, it worked, powered on the remote. In my opinion its kinda hard to tell how different these batteries will be long term. Also for the cost they were significantly higher than most other batteries.
