i had not chosen it

i had not chosen it for ergonomics specifically, but it is ok. I has more buttons that improve some performance and shortcuts. It was very easy to set up and connect.

Perfect for my needs...

This keyboard is exactly what I was looking for. It is quiet, low profile keys, comfortable keys and the optional wristpad. It is just like typing on a high quality laptop keyboard.

Quieter than any mouse

This has got to the best mouse I have ever had.
1. It's wireless and holds a helluva charge.
2. The click sound or lack thereof it the best feature when multitasking during video calls.
3. The roll ball which moves the page from side to side - GENIUS. Never knew how much I would actually love having this option.
4. Ergonomically awesome. I spend 8-11 hours a day w/my hand on my mouse and since I've upgraded to the Logi Ergo ones, I've not had any more issues w/my wrists or forearms aching by the end of the week.
I have been a Logi person for years but typically on the lower end products. Due to changes in my work, I've invested in the upper echelon Logi products and it was has been MORE THAN WORTH it!
HIGHLY recommend this product!

Decent Mouse, Terrible Software Design/Choices
on May 11, 2023

(TL;DR at the bottom.)
Note: The bluetooth is slightly laggy and the Bolt connector will be VERY laggy if you plug it in via a USB hub (on a MacBook, in my case.) A direct adapter (USB-A to USB-C) solved the latter issue for me.
Main con: The user experience and setup with Logi Options+ is awful and very confusing: either it has a bad design or a plethora of bugs. One example is that the firmware updater didn't recognize my mouse while the Options+ software did. After a few frustrating hours and a day wasted, I learned information that Logitech may have not whitelisted the 3S on the firmware updater (since the 3S, as opposed to the 3, doesn't have any firmware updates yet.) But instead of informing the user that the mouse is up to date, it just left you on "Searching... cannot find your device. Do you have it connected?" However, as of now while writing this, I checked and it just says "everything is up to date." So either this was badly designed and they recently pushed out a silent(?) update to fix it, or it is full of software bugs and will take a few weeks for the updater to recognize your mouse. (I had this problem with both the Bluetooth connection and the Bolt connector – neither informed the outcome of this bug.)
Main pro (for me:) The mouse stores connection info for up to 3 different devices which I find extremely handy for my tinkering hobby. I have one slot saved to my laptop's bluetooth, when I want to casually interact with my laptop and don't want to deal with dongles, one slot for the Bolt connector (on the same laptop) if I want to game or just need a stronger/smoother connection, and I use the third conection slot for an extra Bolt connector that I have attached to my PC running FreeBSD.
Another con: Speaking of FreeBSD (with Linux in mind, too,) it is very evident that the mouse is NOT designed with "freedom" in mind. The Options+ propietary software is required to connect this mouse via the included Bolt connector – it is not "plug and play." Connection is impossible if you are not running Windows or macOS and don't have Bluetooth available. It's also impossible to customize the mouse's advertized features in the same situation. THE GOOD NEWS is, if you have a PC or Mac nearby, you can use it to link and mouse and Bolt connector together, then plug the same Bolt connector into your FreeBSD/Linux machine. The mouse will finally connect, but you still won't be able to customize the options – you must go back to the PC/Mac for that.
Another pro: I really appreciate the silence of the clicks. On YouTube there is a video accusing this mouse of not having a silent middle click, but EVERY button on this mouse, including the middle click, is silenced in my experience. GOOD JOB here!
Note: One weird thing is that the scroll wheel wobbles to the left if your finger pushes it. I don't know if this is just mine.
Overall, dealing with the accompanying software is a PAIN (bugs.) Good luck trying to use your mouse without the software: the mouse is designed to ONLY be compatible with their 3rd party propietary software, which is only available on Windows and macOS. The mouse is extremely silent and the ability to link 3 different devices for quick switching is useful. The gesture button and horizontal scroll wheel are nice features to have. The battery capabilities are top notch, lasting months.
Despite it's premium physical design and features, the software makes it very difficult for me to recommend the MX Master 3S to anyone. I recommend waiting for a significant price drop or an improved model without the software pitfalls.
