So far so good. This is my fourth Garmin watch. I started out with a Viveo HR. Then I graduated to an Instinct I then and Instinct II. As of today I've accumulated over 34,800,000 steps with Garmin. The Enduro 3 is incredible. The new features including maps and meditation make this a very functional watch.
Bought this watch about a month and a half ago as an upgrade from my Instinct 2x. There were a few features my Instinct was lacking turn by turn directions being the primary one. Not only does this watch solve that but so much more. Its so feature rich I still haven't explored all the new additions. The other primary reason I went for the Enduro 3 was to avoid sacrificing battery life and it preforms ALMOST as well as the Instict in that category. I wasnt too excited about the touch screen however it is surprisingly usable and intuitive. The watch has everything I could want or need and no fluff. Over all 10/10. No notes.
I could write a long, detailed review of my Enduro 3, but there are plenty of those kinds of reviews out there. To keep it short, this watch is awesome in almost every way. First, the battery life is stellar. I can do a multi-day hike of 100 miles and with the proper settings, the battery only goes down 15-20%. Second, I like the various activities it can record - rucking, fishing, kayaking, skiing, etc. Nice! Third, it does pretty well with health tracking (sleep, calories, steps, recovery time, etc.). Fourth, the flashlight/torch is super helpful! Fifth, I like how you can turn the touchscreen on or off. Anyway, I could go on, but I was using a Fenix 7X SS, and this Enduro 3 is a decent upgrade from that one. The only negative is that it takes SO LONG to update the maps. But the maps work well!
Amazing watch. I use for long endurance cycling events. Recently went on a week long mtb and dirt bike trip. I tracked every daily ride, each of which were at least 4 hours per day. Finished the trip with over 50% battery life and never had to charge. Worked great. Love all the features.
I am enjoying this watch so far. I have ran one race with it, about 38 miles, 8ish hours, and the map did not drain the battery, still had over 80% battery life left in regular trail run settings using a gpx file. I am interested in testing it out during my 30hrs ultra Columbus Day weekend! I will use maps and hoping the battery holds, unsure if I should use a battery saving mode and if that will mess up the data or be useful looking at the data afterwards? When I have used UltraTrack on my old Garmin the map got all messed up and my 100 miler looked like a 75miler on the Tactix Charlie; and on the Suunto Peak 9 it had my 108-110 miler look like 105 (close) but the mph or minute per mile data was useless. I want to be able to track my whole effort without sacrificing data, because the full tracking is great, but not when the data is all messed up.
Excellent battery life and features that I use! Coming from a vivoactive 4, it’s a huge improvement in battery life and features. Also love the solar battery assist
Going from a small forerunner to this felt giant at first, but after a few days, it feels perfectly normal. It is so much more capable than my previous Garmin with more and better sensors, much better maps and routing features. I needed a watch that could track all day long for multiple days in the backcountry. This one can do that. Very happy with it.
I’ve had this watch for just under a month now and love it! It took me a bit to get used to the controls after using the Other Brand for 2 years, but once I got it, navigating the features is super easy. The solar charging is awesome, no longer needing to plug in a watch every 8 hours is a game changer. I have charged the Enduro 3 once since I bought it, and it was still at 30% at that point. I do spend a lot of time in the outdoors, so charging may be different for some. I will be using it on my first 70.3 Ironman in a week, so will try out the multisport mode.
