Great product. Easy to install. The lock died after about 8 months. Contacted customer service and they replaced the lock and furnished a return shipping label for the old one. Getting approval for replacement was a little tricky, but I understand that they have to go through the process to assure that there is no fraud. I juist purchased another one for my son and daughter-in-law.

Not quite perfect

I bought this 2 1/2 weeks ago and still deciding if I am going to keep or return. I agree with everyone else that the installation was easy and the lock is quality made. We went from a keypad lock (4 digit code and no video) to this one. There should be an option for a four or six digit code. I personally like the 4 digit code and with the random shifting of numbers on keypad I believe it would be very secure. Video quality is great in the day and good (almost great) at night. When I bought this I was under the impression it would have motion activated video like most of the other doorbell cameras. This is a big downfall for this camera. One of the reasons I bought it was to keep track of packages when delivered and to know when someone is approaching the house. The only time the camera is activated is when someone rings the doorbell on the lock or attempts to use keypad and doesn’t get the code right. If you are looking for a camera with motion sensor this is not the camera. I am seriously contemplating returning it and getting one that has a motion sensor. Otherwise this camera in near perfect.

Every single detail you were asking in a doorbell!

Lockly engineers have thought of every single detail that the customer were looking in a door lock. This is a complete a well though design. It comes with 2 Lithium Lockly Batteries that are been charged by solar cells located in the Lockly door lock that covers the key lock access. So, It has 4 ways to access: fingerprint, code, key and app control. Door sensor, motion alert, guest access profile, video recording storage locally in a separate Hub (no fees, video recording and log entries are stored in a 32Gb sd Card), night vision, video doorbell with 2 way audio mic. So, you don’t need to replace batteries anymore. The whole installation process, the physical install and app configurationwon take longer than 45 min. There are 2 deadbolt models, for 60mm or 70mm. You can check which one is the right one for your door by using a ruler. I strongly suggest to check and follow the instruction manual, and first at all to start by charging the Battery. It will take around 5 hours to fully charge but you can use the second one to finish the setup until the first one is fully charge. The original setting for the autolock is 20 seconds. The first time once you have finished the physical installation and turn on for the first time the doorlock, it will lock with the door while it is open when the 20 seconds has been reached, but once it detects the magnet on the doorframe when you close the door, it will lock from now on once you close the door. So if you unlock and open the door, the countdown starts at the moment the magnet is not detected, but it will lock or extend the deadbolt when you close the door. So it is important, at least that is how I see it, the magnet should be installed, so it will not damage your doorframe if the door close with the deadbolt fully extended, because you are not installing this magnet. Then you install the app, the Lockly app can be found either on Apple or Android. Select the 798 model listed. The hub (with a 32GB SD memory) should go LAN wired connected to your router located not too far from the Lockly doorlock. The connectivity between the Hub and the Doorlock is wireless. The app will ask you to scan the QR code of the hub located at the base under the hub. The setting process will continue by creating your profile and a numeric access code for your door. The following steps are very intuitive, I will suggest the following settings: Under Camera Settings/Live View Recording should be ON. Smart Alert/Push Notification All enabled Smart Alert/ Motion Detection Enable, Motion Detection Zone Medium Motion Detection duration 5s Video Recording trigger 10s Video recording duration 15s The default setting for the rest configuration works fine The first thing you will see in the app is the live video, and the lock/unlock feature. The live video, allows you to see who is in front of the camera and chat via the two way-audio/mic communication. And while you are doing that it will record the video and audio chat automatically. If someone stands in front of your door for 5 seconds it will generate an alert to your phone, if someone rings the doorbell, it will generate an alert and if you grab the alert in the app it will open the app to take you to the video chat. It has infrared for night vision, 3 little red light will come up during the night if you stand in front of the doorbell. You can set up your fingerprint, for you and many others, you can set up different code access, create group access for each, and if you move cover of the solar cell you will have the regular physical key access. From the inside, you can move down a little button that is on the inside section of the Lockly, and it will disable any way to unlock the system either with the app or code or finger print, this is an extra security step, very well though. Overall this is a truly amazing product that I have been lucky to test it thoroughly and I am very pleased with this. This is a very well though design and amazing piece of engineering. Feels very reliable and strong. I am very pleased with this product
Love this lock!!! Only thing we don’t like is that we can’t change the doorbell sound.

Great little smart doorbell and deadbolt

I'm really pleased with our new smart lock, all 6 family members have adapted to using it, it gives us the option of offering self-check-in for our AirBnB guests, and we can remote buzz delivery or maintenance workers in remotely. Customer Service has been great too whenever I faced a small issue or had a question
I deducted 1 star due to:
-only 2 account members being able to see the video feed. (Why would you want any of your trusted members/ or in my case family members able to see that who the person is before coming to the door). It's an easily avoidable security risk.
- ditto the above with only 2 users having the option of receiving phone alerts when the bell is pushed. This should be an optional setting afmins can give to any user they choose.
- if the batteries aren't placed just right and using the ribbon the battery drains at lightning speed. But otherwise is a champ.
- a battery model like this should be able to use rechargeable batteries, this model does not
(There's a new edition in black that has a chargeable solar panel and I've heard rumors it might be rechargeable battery safe. I'd rec that model if you're looking to buy now

We understand your need for multiple admins so everyone in your household is able to get notifications and view the camera. FOr security purposes, there can only be 1 main admin account on the Lockly app. While you can have up to 5 users share the main admin account only 1 person can view the camera at a time. Our engineering and development team are aware of this feature request and will consider it for the future.
Yes, the Vision Elite comes with 2 lithium battery packs and built-in solar panels that are designed to slow down the device's power consumption for extended battery life. If the battery level is very low or dead, you can power the lock with a 9V Battery by placing it on the bottom of the exterior side of the lock between the two silver terminals. Vision Elite also has Night Vision and Motion detection. The Vision Elite lock is currently sold exclusively in store or online at Best Buy.
Good features but not practical. It does not connect to wifi without an ethernet cable. We have had the lock for a month and we are still troubleshooting the remote operation. The numbers pad is not very practical because it is crowded and rather small print.
