Love the finger print reader. Works Flawlessly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I installed this lock in about 2 hours. I did not download the app to install as it came with printed directions for installation that were more than acceptable. The only thing that I had an issue with during the installation was the final adjustment of the deadbolt to make sure that it moved freely. I installed the lock in the deadbolt hole and there seemed to be this odd clicking noise before I put the batteries in and it did not seem to have a smooth feeling when using the handle for the deadbolt. I decided to put the batteries in and the lock must have done some self calibration and bam it moved freely and easily into the deadbolt hole. I also like the door sensor capability. It is optional to install the sensor but you loose some of the locks functionality like being able to tell if the door is actually open or closed if you do not install it. I just dremmeled out a little channel in my woodwork to nest out a pocket for the door sensor switch. You will need to download the app to get access to all the features and set up the lock. You can view the videos that the lock has taken through the app and set up your preferences. I have not found a feature for motion sensing to start taking the video, but it automatically takes video is someone rings the doorbell or tries to access the key hole. The fingerprint reader is nice when I go for walks around town as I no longer need to take keys with me on my way out and it will automatically lock behind me. When the lock arrived in the mail it was in a heavy box and everything was packaged very well with absolutely no damage. If you have a screen door ensure that the lock side facing the screen door has clearance with the door handle or you may damage the lock when all the doors are closed. I am very pleased with this lock.

No Other Smart Lock Compares

After spending hours creating a spreadsheet that compares features offered by all reputable smart locks, I couldn't justify any other options.
No other smart lock compares in regards to features that are important in a smart lock and that's not even considering the Lockly Vision also includes a doorbell camera.
Everything performs as advertised after installing today and after testing, my biggest realization is that no option to unlock via fingerprint should be a deal breaker due to being so much quicker than keyless methods such as PIN pad and phone app. I did not realize before ordering that the doorbell camera also has a microphone and speaker. Everything works properly by voice control through my Amazon Echo and I have yet to connect with my Google Home.

All in one device

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Lockly Vision- smart lock and video doorbell is really an all in one device. My favorite feature is the fingerprint scanner. It has the ability to save up to 99 fingerprints and works seamlessly. It was quite easy to install and took me about an hour. I can also give out temporary PIN to a visitor. I can monitor any package deliveries near the door though the app.
I would recommend it.

A Great Combo Device, Few Missed Opportunities

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Lockly Vision - Smart Lock + Video Doorbell is a clever deadbolt camera device that does a lot of things well but has some misses, seemingly trying to accomplish too many things at once. Apparently, due to the consumption of power from the lock and the camera features, you're required to use an enormous 8 AA battery pack on the back of it. The first batch of batteries are included, but this does produce a large wart on the back of the door. The options to unlock are appreciated ranging from traditional lock, fingerprint reader, pin code and app. I also would have preferred it not require a hub and use an established smart home platform to communicate with the internet. Overall, it's a good device that does a lot of things right, considering that it's all in one.

She can change the combination regularly every time there is a new guest. She can also utilize the finger print reader for everyone in the family for even easier access. They enjoy being able to see the guests when they arrive and now have eyes on the patio where guest typically hang out.

Great investment and easy install

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was a little skeptical at the easy installation claims, but it turned out to be pretty simple. I was able to install with pretty standard tools and easily connect to my home WIFI. I love being able to lock/unlock from my phone. Generally, I don't want to receive text alerts, but this would be a good feature for those concerned about security or for vacation rentals. Video capture works pretty well and I appreciate the fact that I can integrate with Alexa devices.
