I have wanted this rds for so long, but ...

The sight is marvelous, I really want to use it. But the mount is horrid. I have mounted it to the supplied arco plat twice and twice the one screw that does the clamping has sheared under use. The first tome after maybe 20 range loads (10mm on a Tanfoglio Hunter) it sheared and clipped my forehead. Second time (today) it sheared after 21 rounds (same ammo, not hunting loads). First time shear left nothing to clamp to, to remove the remainder of the bolt, this time I was able to extract bolt and found the mounting clamp. I really wanted this to work for a hunting rig, but at this point I don't trust it.

Great Optic

Just qualified with this at department. I put over 500 rounds through with no issues. It even had the upgraded parts/accessories/screws for it. Supposedly there is a bad batch of the MPS out there and our department is currently trying to figure out the serial number range. No issues yet.

The optic is top notch. Easy to mount and very secure hold a zero will and has given me no issues with a 1000 or so rounds through it. I only wish it had an shake awake auto off function.

Optic has performed perfectly. Clarity and function have been great. Wish it had shake awake function but that’s a minor detail. Turning it on and then having the 13 hour auto shut off works just fine. I’m currently using this on a duty pistol and I don’t have any doubts about its durability and reliability in the long run.

Best optic for pistols.

It’s great, large window for pistol optics. Rugged, easy to use, and good footprint. No problems that I can see. Used the Steiner MRO on my Glock 34 and Springfield 2011.
Uses 2032 battery.
Small dot size is a great thing for long distance shots.
Great for anyone using a pistol optic. A high end optic for experienced pistol shooters.
Great price! Excellent shipping from company.
No complaints.
