Fun Pokémon Build

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My Pokémon-obsessed son chose this figure to build. As a ten-year-old who has a lot of experience with these types of sets, he was able to independently complete the build in about an hour and a half. I was called in twice when he made the mistake of inserting one of the tiniest pieces the wrong way, and I had a really difficult time removing it. The second time this happened the piece snapped, but fortunately the set included extras so we had a back-up.
Overall, I found the directions to be very clear and easy to follow. I wish that the individual bags were numbered in order of use, but they were not. It would make it much easier to find the piece you need, since all the pieces are the same color. The figure is super solid once completed and I think it would be difficult to take apart to rebuild. My son said he would be leaving Pikachu together as a display piece on his desk. It makes an awesome addition to his room!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Being stuck at home during the pandemic, this is a great toy that kept my 6 year old busy for a couple days building. Some of the pieces required adult help to click into place. But overall he was proud of his accomplishment once built!

Super cute and durable!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Pikachu building set is a great toy for any Pokemon or brick building fan!! My 7 and 12 year old had a lot of fun building it. It was not too difficult to build and once completed, it is surprisingly durable. I was nervous that pieces would easily come off, but that is not the case! This toy is constantly passed around between all 3 of my kids, and it has yet to come apart. It is the perfect size, too. Any larger and it would surely get dropped, any smaller and my kids would have been disappointed. The only issue we had was that the instructions that were included were for the Charmander set. Luckily, we were able to download the correct instructions from the Mattel website. So, kudos to Mattel for having those easily available!!

Pikachu Fun

A fun, challenging project with exciting results

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the first Mega Construx product we've built and I expect to enjoy several more in the future. The instructions were wordless and thorough, thoughtfully highlighting the correct piece to use in situations where several similar pieces exist. This was particularly important because pieces are bagged according to size and function rather than in build order, helping builders to understand the engineering behind what they're building -- and a true feat it was, allowing our young builder to bring Pikachu to life with several points of articulation. Rather than an art piece, our child treats this Pikachu as a treasured toy.

Kids love this STEM activity!

We’ve managed to misplace a couple pieces at the moment, so I’d advise you to pick a spot for construction and keep track of the pieces better than I did!
