Keeps them busy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 7 year old had a great time constructing this mega construx Charmander! It kept him busy for a couple of hours so I could get stuff done! Some of the pieces were a little tuff for him to snap together and I had to help out a few times. Charmander is so cute when completed! My one complaint is that a section of the tail has trouble staying attached and I am constantly having to reattach it. Overall if you plan on leaving Charmander on a shelf when completed I totally recommend!

Durable and Detailed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My seven year old was so excited to receive the Mega Construx Pokemon Charmander building set. She loves Pokemon as well as building the different characters from blocks. The pieces are separated into 7 different bags, although I am not sure why. During construction we had to take different pieces from different bags. I thought that they would have been separated for a reason. The instructions were a little difficult to follow but the colored dots on the pages helped a bunch. My 7 year old daughter quickly became overwhelmed with this 180 piece kit and lost interest. My 14 year old son had to jump in and help. He is a very experienced block builder and it took him about 2 hours to complete this set. The blocks are a little hard to snap together, but are durable. Once the toy was put together my daughter was very excited again. She loved it. She began playing with it right away. This Charmander set has very cute details and his parts are movable, so you can pose him in different positions. My daughter liked that he has his attachable fire attack coming out of his mouth. All in all this is a well detailed, durable toy that does not fall apart when played with. A 7 year old would need some adult supervision and a lot of time to put this together in my opinion, but once it is complete it is very satisfying to see your accomplishment!

Sturdy Toy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids are Lego efficient and were excited to try this as they love Pokemom. The instructions were little difficult for kids aged 7, as the graphics aren't as clear as Legos. The toy itself is nice and sturdy once built. I give this 4 out 5 stars. It would be nice if the packaging was a straight box, it would be easier to gift wrap.

Fun Characters

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 7 year old son was very excited to receive this toy. He loves Pokemon, so he was thrilled with the character options. The set is similar to Legos, but he had a harder time snapping the pieces together than he normally does; my husband had to help assist with the construction of his character. I guess the good side to that, is it doesn't come apart as easily when he's playing with it.

Great fun for my 7 year old

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received this play, rate, and review item for my 7 year old son who adores Pokémon and building block activities. This was a huge win for him!
He usually has a difficult time with LEGO items and their instructions. However, he was able to easily follow along and complete the build for this. It kept him engaged and occupied even after he finished it.
The blocks are sturdy and the items moves easily - especially the mouth that opens and closes. Lots of fun and will definitely go out and purchase other sets like this!
